Berglund Red Ridge Kia

Review: We purchased a new car from the dealer. Upon purchase the car had 3900 miles on it but was being listed as brand new. I figured that the car had been test drove and didnt truly think a lot of it at the time. When I got home I realized that there was tobacco in the center console. This told me two things: one, that the car most likely was smoked in and two, someone used this car for their personal pleasure as people test driving vehicles typically dont smoke in them, or stick their personal belongings into the center console. I went back to the dealership and expressed my concerns to [redacted] and [redacted] about how the car was listed as brand new but it had 3900 miles on it (which wasnt told to us until after all negotiating was complete and we had spent 7 hours at the dealership). I was told by [redacted] that it was possible the car was used as a demo. I quickly challenged his statement by telling him that if it was a demo vehicle then the contract shouldnt say brand new. He then changed his wording once I said that. Neither [redacted] nor [redacted] denied the fact that the car had been driven around for personal use by a dealer. I told them I was not happy and simply got an Im sorry you feel that way. This was a smack in the face. I used to work in sales and know that the number one priority is to keep your customer happy. They had the choice to try and rectify the situation but made no effort to do so. They could have at least considered switching the car for another since the purchase was less than a week ago. They could have offered to give me money back for the miles that their company decided to put on the car. They could have offered to give me my ten year warranty for free that they cut back to 6 years after the kia finance company changed the finance rate. This has not left a very good taste in my mouth and I can truly say I am very disappointed. I am hoping Kia does what they can to make this right or I will never shop with them again. This includes any other companies owned by Berglund.Desired Settlement: I would like for the dealership to consider the following options:1. Accept the car as a return and clear the inquiry off of my credit report. While providing a new vehicle with low miles at the same interest rate.2. Provide money back to accommodate for the 3900 miles caused by their dealer's excessive use.3. The dealership will eat the cost of the warranty that was cut from us and provide us with a full 10 year warranty for free (more details provided in Kia survey).

I met with Mr. [redacted] on Tuesday 7/30/13 to address his concerns. After speaking with him we both agreed to unwind the deal and I put him in a new sorento exactly the same trim level with only 283 miles on it. I had him back in the dealership on 8/1/13 and recontracted him on the new one with the exact same terms. As far as the warranty, he now understands he gets the 10 year 100000 power train with the purchase from the factory. He was by his own admission completely satisfied.
