We have offered to put on two tires and alignment Ms [redacted] vehicle [redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID[redacted], and find that this resolution would be some what satisfied.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference,...

details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution. The refunding of the tow charge does not excuse the incompetence of the service department which caused the problem, or the fact that I was without the use of my vehicle for two days. They did not refund the money in a timely manner as promised. It took two weeks and a call to their customer relations/general manager before the money was refunded. Their service manager had promised an immediate refund upon presentation of the receipt for towing, and that did not happen.
Regards,
[redacted]

We have refunded $188 to the customer and are very sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

We have offered to put on two tires and alignment Ms. [redacted] vehicle.

[redacted]

We are very sorry that Mr. [redacted] is upset, the General Manager of our Toyota store,  [redacted] has researched the issue and the Q-Cert at time of sale. [redacted] has sent Mr. [redacted]'s contact information as well as his policy# to The Warranty Resource Group and tried to resolve but...

unfortunately, was advised that nothing that could be done on their end since the vehicle is out of warranty.

They lied to me twice they said I could bring my car in today and see why its shaking for free unless it got major and I got there and he said you have a apointment and I would have to make one and charge me 45 dollars and the manager wohldnt do anything! !!!!! Don't waiste your time!!!

Review: I bought the vehicle in February 17,2014. It now needs new tires and wiper blades. Also needs an alignment. I went to Berglund Toyota on April 23,2014, talk to the manager. I explained my concern. He said all he could do is get an alignment done.Desired Settlement: I would like to get my tires replaced with an alignment. I would like to replace my wiper blades.

Review: When I went to Berglund Toyota to buy a car to drive home it took me three whole days to finally get the car in my possession and drive off the lot. I then singed the paper work and signed the contract and was on my way after I gave them all the information they requested after finally three days of my time. After I drove it for at least 10 days or so a man came up to my residents and said that they needed a diploma from me since my transcripts did not work for the grad-program. I told them my diploma would be here any day, end of story that was the last time I heard from Toyota when I spoke to a person face to face in front of my place. About four days later, a towing Company [redacted] towing Company came to my work place that night 6/11/2013 and picked up my car and towed it off the parking lot. Leaving my belongings inside the vehicle and as well leaving me with absolutely no transportation to get back to my home or the Toyota Company. After I asked them to wait for me and give me a ride to the Toyota place they left me stranded. After a co-worker of mine helped me out and let me have a ride to the Toyota place and having to pay him for the ride to get there and to my place. They have me wait for at least 30 minutes for the General Manger. After waiting there for 30 minutes I look around the corner and see the [redacted] working out on the elliptical while my co-worker and I wait to speak to him to get an answer to what just happened. After seeing me, [redacted] finally goes to the bathroom and gets dressed. We sit down and he tells me that I have to provide a diploma after all the paper work I gave them and says that my loan was not approved after driving my car for approximately 15 days. He then tells me that he stalked me and had me followed to figure out where I worked at night to take the vehicle back. After harassing and calling my sister and me and leaving no voice-mails and letting us not know what is going on showing up at my work place and taking my vehicle without letting me get my belongings. After signing the contract and driving the Vehicle they take it from me and say its no longer mine after they allowed me to drive it off the lot. Finally 3 days after they take my care they let me know that cannot have the car after losing days of work and possibly losing my job.Desired Settlement: I would like my 1,000 dollar rebate back or how ever much it was and to have the same price of the car payments I would be paying on before this happened which is 240.00 a month on my car. Without a Co-signer just like I had before. As well as to give me the money I lost the past 4 days because they took my car.

When Ms. [redacted] purchased the vehicle we instructed her to get us some more valid proof that she had graduated from college in June of 2011 like she had stated to us. The information that she provided was inconclusive as to both if and when she had actually graduated. The loan that we procured for Ms. [redacted] was under the College Grad Program thru Toyota Financial Services which allows a graduate to get a loan as long as they have graduated within the last 2 years from date of purchase and as long as the customer has full time employment. She would not have qualified for a loan on her own because of her past and limited credit history. We made numerous attempts to contact Ms. [redacted] thru the 2 forms of communication (cell phone number and email) that she provided us when she purchased the car however all of our attempts went unanswered other than one email where she stated that we needed to stop “stalking” her or she would contact the police. We left her a very detailed message on her cell phone that stated that it was imperative that she contact me regarding her loan because without the proof of graduating she would not be eligible for the loan and would have to bring us the car back. After she failed to call us back I finally had to contact our attorney and get advice on repossessing the car. I sent her an email that stated that she had signed an agreement that if we did not secure a valid approval from the finance company she was obligated to bring the car back upon notification from us and gave her 48 hours to respond with the proof. Our attorney instructed us that since she gave us the email address and that she had already communicated with us thru the email then it was a legally valid form of communication. Once she did not respond within the 48 hours we had no other choice than to repossess the car at her job. She immediately came in to the dealership demanding that she get her car back and I explained to her that once she provided the proof she could get her car. As it turned out, she had not been truthful to us as to when she actually had graduated as well as to her employment on her finance application. She graduated in December of 2010 which is outside of the College Grad Program and she stated that she had been employed full time as a school teacher for 2 years when in fact she was only a substitute teacher and could not provide proof of the income that she had stated. This entire situation was very frustrating to us as we are in business to sell vehicles not to repossess them. If she would have been truthful and communicated with us it would have never gotten to the point that we had to go pick up the car. Since she misstated her employment history, income and her graduation date we are not able to provide her with any kind of loan on her own.

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. When I talked to the dealership I was truthful with them and told them where I worked and what I did. I told them I was a substitute teacher and as well I told them I did walk in June of 2011 which is truth. My diploma says December of 2010 but I walked and received my diploma in June of 2011.. [redacted] told me that it was fine and signed the car over to me. Obviously they found me at my work, so they knew. The manager also told me that he was stalking me. I would like at least 375 dollars sent to[redacted] Lynchburg Virginia for the stress and heartache they put on me and my 15 month old son. Not being able to get food and things for me and my son and not being able to go to work for a week and having to find a ride for everything. Regards,[redacted]

Review: September 17, 2015, 2:45 PM regular service: oil and filter change and tires rotated. Next day, 9-18, I drove the car to [redacted] and the engine began to make unusual noise. I called [redacted], service manager of Berglund Toyota and told him of unusual noise. He said "tires were rotated, tires are probably 'cupped' and it is causing vibration". I informed him that tires were almost new. Drove two more blocks, parked at movie theater. Two hours later, drove several blocks from the theater, car made unusual noise, and several warning lights came on the dash. I turned the car off, saw oil leaking out on the ground. Called [redacted] again. He is located in [redacted], I was in [redacted]. He suggested I take the car to [redacted] Toyota for analysis. I said "no", all the engine oil had leaked out. HAD I TAKEN HI S ADVICE, THE ENGING WOULD HAVE BEEN RUINED, as [redacted] Toyota was at least 5 miles away. I said Berglund should come pick up the car, as they had just serviced it less than 24 hours earlier. He said it would cost too much for them to come get the car ($200-$300), and asked if I had [redacted]. I said yes. He said have them put it on their truck and bring it back o Berglund, and if it was their fault (Berglund's) , he would refund/reimberse the tow charge if I provided a receipt. [redacted] delivered the car to Berglund on 9-18-2015, and charged $188. It was Berglund's fault as the OIL FILTER was NOT INSTALLED PROPERLY. Berglund fixed the car, and I picked it up on 9-19-2015. I sent a receipt to *. [redacted] general manager, on 9-25-2015. I had not received the promised refund by Monday, October 5, so I called Mr. [redacted]. He did not answer so I left a "voice mail". As of today, October 7, 2015, I have not received the refund I am owed, nor did Mt. [redacted] respond.

There is also an ongoing issue with a transmission leak, and I spoke personally with Mr [redacted] on 23, and he promised he would handle that issue. So Mr. [redacted] does know me, and has spoken with me in the past. He knew I had issues with the service department. That is why I sent the [redacted] receipt directly to Mr. [redacted] on 9-25-2015. I am due a $188 reimbursement by Berglund Toyota, and can get no response as to why they have failed to refund the money. I am in possession of ALL necessary receipts to verify all claims.Desired Settlement: Reimbursement of the $188 towing fee charged by [redacted]. I was promised a refund as soon as a receipt was provided. As of the mail on 10-7-2015, I have received no refund, and my calls have not been returned.
