Do NOT buy a Beringer Home! They are built with cheap materials and poorly constructed I was in the process of buying a home built by them and had several concerns that I wanted to address with them They would not walk through the house with me and assured me that everything would be taken care of and 100% ready to sell prior to the closing I was allowed to walk through the house days prior to my closing with the builder but they would not allow anyone else in the house, not even my realtor I was told the house was 100% done and ready to sell when we walked through During the walk through with the builder I addressed different areas on concern where there was extremely poor craftsmanship that you could tell the job was rushed along Some things were small like several roller marks from a bad paint job up to several drywall seems showing, cracked concrete (weeks old), stained sink, and a large chunk of wood missing from the brick molding around the door The builder also tried to tell me that a stained sink was "just the way it is" "I would probably paint the wall anyways which would cover up the seems" and "concrete is guaranteed to crack." (yes I know concrete will crack but they poured a foot wide front porch with cuts/lines to control cracks) Due to the poor craftsmanship and the fact that these items were felt to be acceptable by the builder, I sent them an email stating my expectations for the corrections that needed to be made because they had not proven to be reasonable judges of acceptable quality up to this pointInstead of making things right and fixing the problems correctly they said that it would be best for me to find another houseThe website claims that many upgrades come standard in these housesThis includes no finish grade on the yard let alone any seed, garage door opener for a car garage, no deck or patio off the back, and hollow core panel doors I would highly recommend looking for another builder to build your home
