Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: The salesman at Berkenkotter motors stated in his own words that this truck was a [redacted] truck, numerous timesThe dealer simply glued [redacted] emblems on the body of the truck in a case of obvious fraudI made it clear that I wanted a [redacted] truck, the dealer said it was a [redacted] While it is possible the salesman was unaware that it was a [redacted] truck, that does not relieve the companies responsibility to avoid fraudulent sales tacticsAlthough I did wait awhile to complain, it is because I am a 100% disabled vet due to illness from combat duty in Iraq, which has left me incapacitated for the last six months, and thus unable to lodge a serious objectionThis is completely verifiable by the dept of veterans affairsI may be guilty of being naive or overly trusting, but the fact remains that I was told I was buying a [redacted] truck, which constitutes obvious fraudI do not accept Berkenkotters counter-claims and consider them dishonest, frauds and shameless/distrustful business people Regards, [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Regards, [redacted] They can say whatever you want all I can say is that you sold me was junk an you knew itAnd what make you think that I will making business with you after what you didJust answer one question and be honest, why didn't you give me the truck with a pass emission the first time or why didn't you give me truck with pass emission the second time, but why did you give the truck with a pass emission the third time why? Cuss you knew that if it would of failed again you would had to bi the truck backIsn't it weird the truck engine when out and the engine light never turn onAnother think where's all the paper work or parts recipes of all the work that it was done to the truckAnd for last time do whatever you want you screw me and I hope your happy

Customer came in last week and talked to me(manager) for the first time in since we emissioned his truck We did fix his truck at our expense a few days after he bought it We always use a third party vendor mechanic to do so and no shortcuts were taken and we spent the time and money to do it right It passed inspection at the State emissions station there was no fraud When they came in to talk to me last week, I suggested that they should get a second opinion on their truck because they're mechanic seemed to give very worst case scenarios that didn't make sense to meHis diagnosis of the problem did not match his solution That mechanic is definitely trying to take advantage of Them I gave them the number of our mechanic that would give them discounted rates They declined my help I'm not sure how else I could help themThey were offered an extended warranty at the time of sale and they declinedUnfortunately their story also does not match what others have seenThey claim that the truck is undriveable and has been sitting for the last few monthsHowever, it has been seen several times around town during the period that they say it has not been running at all If they do not want to use our mechanic that is fine but I do believe that a second opinion would save them a lot of money at a different mechanic shop

Customer came in last week and talked to me(manager) for the first time in since we emissioned his truck.   We did fix his truck at our expense a few days after he bought it.  We always use a third party vendor mechanic to do so and no shortcuts were taken and we spent the time and money...

to do it right.  It passed inspection at the State emissions station.  there was no fraud . When they came in to talk to me last week, I suggested that they should get a second opinion on their truck because they're mechanic seemed to give very worst case scenarios that didn't make sense to me. His diagnosis  of the problem did not match his solution.   That mechanic is definitely trying to take advantage of Them.  I gave them the number of our mechanic that would give them discounted rates.  They declined my help.  I'm not sure how else I could help them. They were offered an extended warranty at the time of sale and they declined. Unfortunately their story also does not match what others have seen. They claim that the truck is undriveable and has been sitting for the last few months. However, it has been seen several times around town during the period that they say it has not been running at all.  If they do not want to use our mechanic that is fine but I do believe that a  second opinion would save them a lot of money at a different mechanic shop.

[redacted] is not an honest person.  He did not buy a warranty from us as he stated.  He bought a warranty from some other 3rd party.  He then tried to defraud that warranty company.  When they denied his claim, he came back to us wanting us to fix.  We declined to pay for the repairs, but we did recommend him to a 3rd party mechanic here in town.  That mechanic towed Mr. [redacted]' truck to his business and was told multiple stories also.  Attached is a statement of fact from this 3rd party mechanic.  I do believe we have been more than kind and I would like to not disparage Mr. [redacted] as a person.  That being said, due to his lack of integrity, we will no longer do business with this person now or in the future.MikeBerkenkotter Motors

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:First of all we have never been back to Berkenkotter Motors since we took the truck on 8-28-2015.The last time I talk to the salesman Hardi S[redacted] was on 8-24-2015 to inform him the problem we where having with the truck, he recommended the we take it back to his mechanic [redacted] or to call Ray witch we did and Ray send a tow truck to pick it up on 8-26-2015 at 4pm. on 8-28-2015 Ray called my dad to let him know what was wrong with the truck, and Ray said that engine was no good because it was abuse and it was not under warranty but if I would taken back before the warranty had expired that he would put a new engine. What warranty are we talking about we never got nothing on paper that the truck had warranty and we where never offered a warranty by Berkenkotter motors. We never had taken that truck to no mechanic but his. I think Hardi S[redacted] is talking about the wrong person he needs to get his facts right. And he can also talk to his mechanic to see if the truck is drivable. How can the truck been seen in town come on Hardi.   Regards,[redacted]

Upon hearing this complaint for the first time 2 months ago, we offered to trade the truck in on another [redacted] truck that we had in inventory. He was willing to do so but then changed his mind. We then offered to buy the truck back for current market value and he declined that as well.  He has declined all the help that we have offered along the way; and so he may sell the truck at his leisure or keep it if he is so inclined.

[redacted] Purchased this truck from us 9 months ago (June of last year).  Mr. [redacted] in this past month has already exhausted his efforts through other avenues to coerce money from us.  In all the forms, legal paperwork, and related documents to the sale,...

we clearly stated this truck is a [redacted] model.  Nowhere in the paperwork does it state this truck to be a [redacted].  Our copies as well as his have been well documented and confirm this as fact.  It is important to us that our good name and reputation remains in tact.  We work hard to ensure that everyone on our staff does things "above board" and right.  Previous attempts by Mr. [redacted] has already proven that our sales staff did correctly disclose this truck as a [redacted] and that no fraud was perpetrated.  We wish no ill-will against Mr. [redacted], but will not be paying out any money for his complaints.

I am rejecting this response because: The salesman at Berkenkotter motors stated in his own words that this truck was a [redacted] truck, numerous times. The dealer simply glued [redacted] emblems on the body of the truck in a case of obvious fraud. I made it clear that I wanted a [redacted] truck, the dealer said it was a [redacted]. While it is possible the salesman was unaware that it was a [redacted] truck, that does not relieve the companies responsibility to avoid fraudulent sales tactics. Although I did wait awhile to complain, it is because I am a 100% disabled vet due to illness from combat duty in Iraq, which has left me incapacitated for the last six months, and thus unable to lodge a serious objection. This is completely verifiable by the dept of veterans affairs. I may be guilty of being naive or overly trusting, but the fact remains that I was told I was buying a [redacted] truck, which constitutes obvious fraud. I do not accept Berkenkotters false counter-claims and consider them dishonest, frauds and shameless/distrustful business people
