This company has failed to return my clothing. It is in a satellite location that does not currently have anyone working there.I brought in a pair of shorts for tailor work On Aug 5th and told to return on Aug 12th. When I returned the office was closed. I called the main office in Great Barrington and was told to return to the Lanesboro site the next day after 2. I did that and the person there told me he did not have my item. He told me to return the next day after 2. I did and the office was closed. Since then I have returned daily only to find the Lanesboro office closed. Phone calls to Great Barrington have been useless as they have promised me 3 times that they will deliver my item to my house which has not happened. I am very frustrated as I feel they are lying to me and there is no way to get my clothing. HELP!!!!Desired SettlementI want my clothing!!!Business' Initial Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: XXXXXXXXXXContact Email: [redacted]@yahoo.comIam the [redacted] of the business.Nothing of this sort has happened to my knowledge. The satellite store is open and she can pick her shorts any time.We are open there M-F 9 to 5 and sat 9 to 12.If any further issue please call me at XXXXXXXXXX.This is my cell number and I will personally assure that you get the highest level of service we have always been providingConsumer's Final Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)What this man has responded is a lie....The satellite office was closed for several days and numerous peopel could not get their clothing. There was also a call made to the[redacted] by a customer...they contacted him as well...I have since gotten my clothing but do not appreciate him being dishonest. I want further action on his treatment and now his lack of [redacted]ship to his poor service.

The [redacted] reneged on an offer to replace a stained silk shirt if he was unable to remove the damage. After 2 weeks he offered only $208 store credit. On April 10, 2013 I left a silk shirt - almost new - to be cleaned, but it was returned to me with significant staining. In the front and just below one armpit appeared what looked like some kind of iron burn, or black residue from a machine. The [redacted] ([redacted]) told me personally, in a face to face conversation, that he would try to remove the stain but would replace the item if he was unable to return the shirt to its original state. He asked for a couple of days to work on it.Over the course of the next two weeks I returned to the cleaner four times, each time at the [redacted] instructions, and made repeated phone calls, only to find each time either that he was not there and not available (nor was the shirt) or that he needed more time. Finally, on April 26th he informed me by phone that he was unable to repair the shirt and that he would only offer me store credit for the replacement value -- $208. My protests went nowhere as he now says that he takes no responsibility for the damage, that it could not have happened on their premises, and that he is being generous to offer comparable store credit for something he is not responsible for. To add insult to injury, his repeated efforts to remove the stain have weakened the fabric in that area so that even if someone else were to try to remove the stain, the fabric has been worked thin either by his physical efforts or by whatever stain remover he used, and the shirt can never be worn again. Desired SettlementAll I am asking for is a replacement shirt, or its value. The shirt is only 4 months old and was like-new. It had never been cleaned before, nor had it been worn for anything other than work. I gave the[redacted] both a print-out of the specific item at an online store as well as the name of the local store my wife had bought it at. He is welcome to purchase the same shirt anywhere he can find the best pricing, or to provide me with the funds to do so myself. I am not interested in the money, but only replacing the shirt.Business' Initial Response As explained by customer we offered replacement if it was our fault.Customer picked up the blouse in good condition and brought it back with a stain on it.In good faith and a sign of good customer service we took it back and promised to work on it which we did and stain did not come out.Showing again a good business gesture we offered the customer store credit for the value he cliamed beleving his version that something happened at our end.But to my surprise customer only wanted money or a new blouse.Initially he claimed its new and was just used once and now he claims himself it was four months old.His behavior suddendly changed when we refused to pay him or get him a new blouse. It was proved beyound doubt that he was only interested to get the money from us.We showed the best coursey and trust and his reward to threaten us that he is going to spoil our reputation by putting this on yelp and other social sites. Now after refusing to pay his undue demand we can understand his frustation.Iam sorry to write this but this was totally framed againsst us.We can clean the clothes, work hard to get the stains off but if there stains dont come out we cannot meet undue demands. The only mistake we did was to trust and assure that we would work on his blouse again to help him out.Our tickets clearly say that in case of any loss or damage we are responsible only upto ten times the cost of cleaning which comes to $50.00.As a good gesture we offered much more than that in store credit. If the claim was genuine what can be the objection in accepting store credit.Actually by this the whole purpose was defeated which resulted in this action.Tried our best to resolve this but sorry not to meet undue demands.Consumer's Final Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)This response is just one more misrepresentation by the [redacted].1) The blouse was taken home on a hanger and covered by plastic wrap, and returned the very next day on the very same hanger covered by the same plastic wrap. It was returned perfectly pressed because it was never even taken off of the hanger - I have timestamped PHOTOS taken in the store as evidence of this. The stain was not discovered until I arrived home after pickup the previous day- my mistake was to not inspect before leaving the shop. For the store [redacted] to suggest that the stain was caused by us because it was discovered after leaving the shop is disingenuous at best. 2) I cannot imagine why the store [redacted] immediately offered to replace the blouse if he thought that we had damaged it after leaving his shop the day before. The fact that it had not been worn since pick-up was OBVIOUS. Instead what happened is that he had misgivings about his offer , and after holding the blouse for two weeks while he tried to remove the stain - in the process further damaging the fine silk fabric - he presented me instead with the option of store credit for the value of a new blouse ($208). 3) I NEVER asked for money in lieu of a replacement blouse. On the contrary, I supplied the name of the local store where my wife had bought the blouse, thinking he could purchase another there or at least confirm the cost. I also supplied a hardcopy of the page from Bloomingdale's where he could order a replacement.4) While the offer of a $208 store credit might seem to be satisfactory, after being treated so poorly - including now the insinuation that we stained the blouse but were trying to blame him AND that I was only after money - why would I ever want to go back to his shop. I have used this dry cleaner for six months, since moving to this town, and have always been satisfied. After this incident I have no desire to return to his business, but only to be made whole again.5) While his ticket may state that the cleaner is liable only for 10x the value of the services tendered (and the cleaning cost only $5), this is no way to run a dry cleaning business. A perfect blouse was brought for laundering - no extraordinary material (silk), no beads or decorative items attached, no unstable dyes. It came back damaged. The professional standards of The Drycleaning and Laundry Institute provide a formula to gauge replacement value of a damaged item. Their formula advises full replacement value for an item of this age and condition.6) My wife and I are both professional people. We have no time or interest in scams whereby we try to wrest sums of money from store[redacted]s. The picture pained by the [redacted]'s response is false, portraying me as a scammer who was trying to take advantage of him. This is the easy way out. I suggest that we split the expense of sending this item to The Drycleaning and Laundry Institute for analysis and see what they say about the source of the stain. All I ask is that if they determine the fault was his, that I receive full replacement value, reimbursement of the cost of my share of the analysis, a written apology, and that this case remain on the Revdex.com website. Should I be proven wrong, I will drop my claim, reimburse his costs for the share of the analysis, offer an apology to him as part of my formal reply to the Revdex.com complaint, as well as in writing to him. This is the only solution I can think of. No dry cleaner should be able to evade responsibility for the care of items brought to them merely by claiming that "the damage was already there," including full replacement value. Their responsibility should be to examine the items brought to them for cleaning that they are free of damage on receipt -- as was done by the front-end person in this case. Nor should a consumer should be able to blame the dry cleaner for something that is not his fault. I assure you that this is not the case in this instance.

Cleaners damaged shirt after 4 re-dos tried to contact owner of business (25 calls - 7 visits) no response from owner personnel say they gavemessagesWent to cleaners with multiple items (suit jackets, dress shirts and pants) to be cleaned and pressed. After spending $155.00 picked items up and upon checking them when I got home the shirts were pressed with wrinkles, pants were double creased and jacket collars were pressed crooked. One shirt (brand new out of package) had a chemical stain on it - I returned to the store with the damaged shirt and I was told it was starch. When I questioned the job quality and showed them the other shirts I was told that for what they charge they I couldn't expect them to check every piece. After 2 tries (re-dos) the 'starch' was still there. The manager told me she would use her 'magic' pen to get the stain out. It did not work and when I went back the 3rd time and the lady tried to blame the stain on me. After I straightened her out back again it went to be cleaned for the 4th time. Back again I went to find the shirt still stained. I asked for the owner and was told he was not around - they did not know where he was - I left a message for him to call me. No call - Back to the store I go because their website is so outdated that the phone numbers there do not work and when you use the number on their receipt you get an answering machine that is useless as after 7 messages he still did not call me. Left another message for him to call me with the store personnel - still no response. Asked for the other location phone numbers and was told by the sales associate that she did not know them and handed me a business card that had locations but no phone for the locations. The one phone number on the card doesn't tell you where your calling. But blindly I called it to find out he wasn't there either (big surprise). After much research and finding out that he does business under two names I finally was able to get phone numbers to all locations - called them all several times and guess what ? He was no where to be found. Left messages for him to call me. Upon follow-up (re-calling the stores again and again) the sales people that answered the phone admitted they gave him the messages. After 7 days of trying to track this guy down I an reporting him to the Revdex.com will review him in all the local online reviews and am starting the process of taking him to small claims court - it's his choice - I don't play games or put up with such unprofessional behavior.Desired SettlementRefund of full cost of shirt and compensation for time and gas in attempting to track him down.

The cleaners lost my dress which I needed for a wedding which I had to replace.I went to pick up my dress May 30 and they couldn't find it. I left contact information and that I needed the dress for the next day because for a wedding. I heard nothing called May 31 at 0: dress could not be found and they told me to wait till the afternoon or the next day to contact manager. I informed them that I needed the dress now and was going to replace it and they would have to honor it. Left contact information never received call and went into business manager is never there and does not contact me.Desired Settlement118.00 dollars the amount I paid to replace the dress and needed accessories for the wedding. I have receipts for all items.118.00 to replace dress

My hand made Persian rug was to be cleaned- They have "lost it"-Do not return phone calls, put down phone and do not speak when I call. On Monday 6/16/14 I brought in two rugs. One was a medium(approximately5x3)sized antique Persian rug, for cat odor removal. The clerk said it was no problem and in fact another worker said that they would most likely do it right there. When I returned they said it was not done yet-On 7/10/14 the clerk gave me one rug which was the cheap brown one back, covered in lint and a mess. The other, valuable one, was no where to be found.[redacted], the clerk, said he would call me. He did not. Next we spoke to the previous owner([redacted]) who assured me they were searching and he would call me. He did not.The Persian rug is nowhere to be found- We call every day only to be told they are looking or to have the phone put down and no one returns while we hear them talking but no one responds. This is a hand made carpet-Old but valuable. It is a brown, reddish, pinkish and purple Persian design. It is not backed. The number on the ticket is [redacted] XXXX-X.Another number on top says RUGS XXXXX.Has it been stolen? Do I call the Police??Desired SettlementI want MY rug!!! Or I want the money it would cost to replace it!!!I want the owners to call me and speak to me in person.I am considering filing a police report because I wonder if someone there decided to take it home!If they can't find it, what else could be the explanation??Final Consumer Response The cleaners finally found the carpet-The case can now be closed.
