contra** was executed (signed) and returned to us along with a blanket approval to charge her CC for alarm monitoring services on a quarterly in advance cycle. On February 1st of 2015, another billing cycle was charged to her credit card in accordance with the established contra**. This billing was for services to begin on March 1st and to extend through May 31st. After receiving a telephone call about a pending cancellation, a form letter was mailed to the client asking for confirmation of the cancellation. That form letter was returned to us with an official date of April 28th, 2015. EVERYTHING done was in accordance with the original and executed contra**. In there it contains a paragraph that explicitly states the terms and how to go about cancelling ones monitoring services. Ms. [redacted] can look it up if she wishes, it is spelled out in paragraph #5. Our agreements are compliant with ** State Law as mandated by the [redacted]. We believe we went above and beyond to help the client in the cancellation of their services. I have attached a copy of the original contra** for your review in this matter.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am reje**ing this response because:
No one has the right to charge me for services they don't provide.
It's just wrong.

Review: I terminated my service with [redacted] effe**ive April 28, 2015, and they had charged my credit card for 90 days in advance through May 31st and refused to give me a pro-rated refund saying I did not give them 30 days advance notice which I had no knowledge of & which they did not disclose in their letter to me of April 16, 2015 where they acknowledged receipt of my notice of cancellation to them.I just assumed I would get a pro-rated refund after the service was terminated and they said no.You're looking at approximately $31.68 and it's not the money that is a concern, it's the idea that a service business can continue to bill me once the service is terminated without full disclosure when they certainly had an opportunity to do so in their letter to me of April 16, 2015 & which also should have been more clearly disclosed when we signed up for the service several years ago.Desired Settlement: Modify policy to be more consumer friendly and clear.
