- from Berkshire Hathaway HS brokerage need to hold herself and the broker accountable for a wrong rental lease which lacked transparency and void from the get go. The information provided to the landlord on the number of occupants (Seven) at the time of signing is wrong and tenants confirmed twelve instead at the time of handover. Both the agent and the agency lacked professionalism and blames tenants for misinformation, There has been no response after repeated attempts by landlord to correct the situation. Given the tenants have already moved into the house and refuse to budge on the discrepancy of the lease and blame both the agents for miscommunication is unacceptable and result of a poor service provided. As a landlord, we now need to incur legal costs, tenant eviction process, high wear and tear due to high occupancy in a brand new home and a mortgage which do not meet the rental cost. If the agent was transparent and efficient and know her job clearly, this wouldn't have happened before the first day of tenancy.
My job was to help them to find a home, that’s what I did. I
had nothing to do with the lease that was the listing agent. I handled
paperwork here and there my job was to find a home to rent for my clients that
was all I did. I wasn’t involved in negotiating. My client isn’t complaining.
