Berlin Glass and Mirror

Review: I had Berlin Mirror and Glass come out to my home to repair a broken window. While at my home I asked them to inspect my shower door in my master bathroom, as it was initially installed by them and had a broken seal. I had just purchased the home and had documentation that the bathroom was just installed less than three years ago. I was vowed to by the sales representative that the seal would be covered under warranty, as they had numerous faulty seals and they were reimbursed from the manufacturer of the product. I was informed that they would send someone out to replace it. Upon replacement, I was delivered a bill and asked for payment of $214.00. When disputed with the owner, Paul, I was told that this was for "service". They were at my home for a total of 5 minutes and I was initially told no charges would be incurred. I was taken advantage of, was - in a sense - robbed, and do not appreciate this unethical way of doing business. Myself and my family has been in business for over 40 years and would never participate in such unethical practices. Thank you.Desired Settlement: I hope they are reprimanded before they take so many others for granted as they did for me with a part that cost $0.05.

-[redacted] was not the original purchaser of the shower and the shower was installed over 3 years prior to his complaint. In both cases the shower is not eligible for a free warranty repair. -[redacted] was misinformed by an employee regarding the shower seals. We had received defective / distorted seals from our manufacturer but had rejected them and none were ever used in any shower installations -[redacted] was informed several times that there WOULD be a charge for the repair and did agreed to pay for it. After the work was completed his check for was returned for insufficient funds and he refused to pay the $ 20 fee that we were charged, though he did pay the charge of $214.

I remodeled my master bath. Berlin Glass installed the shower doors and medicine cabinet sliding doors. I was looking for ideas on what to do with the wall above the toilet and the staff suggested four beveled edge mirrors. After a year the edges of the four mirrors turned black. Management said "WE DON'T GUARANTEE GLASS". GLASS IN A BATHROOM CAN TURN BLACK FROM MOISTURE!! After a few calls they said they will give free installation if I buy a new mirror - huh? Why even suggest mirrors if they're going to turn black after a year. Right on the front page of their website they say - "Customer satisfaction is critical to the success of our company."
