Review: In September of 2012, Dr. Rosenfelds office billed my insurance provider for a visit that never happened. I did not know this happened until I received a co-payment bill for the date of 9-11-12,from the doctor. I called the billing clerk and after looking through my record, she assured me that it was a mistake and that my inusrance was not billed. After hanging up with her, I called my insurance company who informed me that they had billed them and that the claim was already paid. The insurance rep then called Dr. Rosenfelds office with me on mute, on the other line. The clerk told her that it was a mistake and that they would reverse it immediately. The insurance rep gave her instructions on how to return the overpayment, and then disconnected from the office. I could not believe that the lady just flat out lied to me about the claim. Then, the next month, I get a bill again and call the office AGAIN to remind them that they were already caught filing a fraudulent claim and that I owed them nothing. She assured me again that it was an oversight and they would correct it. Happened again in December and I called again and was told they would fix it and apologized for the inconvenieince. Well, I received another bill today for a different amount, but for the same day in question. It does absolutely no good to call their office. They are aware that they are still trying to file a claim, and collect money from me, on a visit that never happened. Aetna can verify the conversation where the clerk admitted that I was not seen that day and that it was their mistake, yet they are trying to bill me instead. In addition, they tried to bill the insurance for an "in office procedure", aka, abortion that never happened. I have documentation that I can supply from the insurance carrier as well as the Genetic testing center, which proves where I was on the day in question. I also can prove that I had the "in office procedure" at a hospital in Beaumont, not in Dr. Rosenfelds office.Desired Settlement: Dr. Rosenfeld should refund my out-of-pocket expenses that I wasted on going to his business, MINIMALLY. It is very frustrating to have to relive a very unpleasant experience every month because his office is scamming the insurance and myself. The emotional toll cannot have a price tag placed on it. The Revdex.com should keep this complaint public so that their office will cut down on insurance fraud. As long as they know that they are being monitored, they will stop filing bogus claims.
