I am rejecting this response because: I would like to clarify some of the information submitted by *** Motors Mr*** states that I negotiated for a really good price on this Ford truck The price I paid for the truck was $14,cash money I made the decision to purchase the vehicle because the seller, *** ***, told me that his mechanic had already checked the truck out and that there were NO problems with the truckI took the truck out for a test drive and didn't have any problems with the truck The next day I did not drive the truck because I was waiting for my insurance company to send me my proof of insurance cards After receiving my insurance cards, I attempted to take the truck on a longer drive to make sure it was in good condition I headed to Dallas and did not get any further than Hillsboro before having to turn around to bring the truck back in I headed to a mechanic that I trusted to check the vehicle out I did not want to take the vehicle back to *** Motors since I did not think I could trust them since Mr*** had already told me that his mechanic had already checked the truck and the truck was in "great" condition I wanted to have an independent check it out and let me know what he thought Not only did the mechanic check it out He did what I believe *** Motors did which was reset the computer, which allowed the truck to operate for a few miles without failingHowever, after the mechanic reset the computer and drove it for a while the truck failed again, which led the mechanic to take it to the FORD delearship for them to put in on their machine The dealership was suppose to reprogram the computer in the truckMy wife had already called and spoke with someone at the Ford dealership and was informed that if reprogramming the computer of the truck did NOT fix the problem, that the cost to repair would be more than $3,for them to repair it because they would have to remove the whole cab of the truck to get to the part that would need to be repaired We waited for more than a week to hear back from FORD The mechanic that we had entrusted with th vehicle went and picked the truck up He had to purchase the part for the truck The parts cost between $900-1,dollars*** Motors is acting as if I created all of these problems with the truck The only thing that I did was trust them and spend a lot of money for a truck that I thought was in good working condition, after being told by *** *** that his mechanic had already checked the truck out I admit that I did not feel that I could trust them with the repairs, if their mechanic had missed a major issue like the one that was now causing me problemsI believed that I was looking out for my investment When I asked *** Motors to split the cost of the repairs with me, I thought that it was a fair request I did not ask them to pay the whole $2,500.00, I ONLY asked them to split the cost of the repairs The $that was given was in NO way fair or in good faith I regret that *** Motors hasn't shown more concern or compassion regarding the troubles that I have experienced doing business with them
