Bert's Auto & Tires Reviews (13)

Bert's auto & tires is a great family owned business! They are quick to serve and are very professional while doing it! We got a complete inspection sheet from the tech of future repairs to keep me fully aware of my vehicles current state...What was priority and what could wait a bit Very informative and kind technicians that I fully trust! They offer courtesy cars making it convenient for me! Nice waiting room with couches and a free coffee machine as well as a chocolate bar vending machineId recommend this shop to anyone!

I have been a customer of Bert's for just over years and would not take any of my vehicles anywhere else including my diesel truckIn all those years I have not had a bad experience at this auto repair shopThe staff has always been awesome and if your vehicle is going to be in the shop for some time, there is no need to wait around ,as courtesy cars are available [redacted] *

I have been dealing with Bert's Auto for many years and have always been satisfied with their serviceI have had three vehicles serviced at routine intervals and as a result I have never had a roadside breakdownI have always trusted that when I am advised that a repair is needed, it is because it IS NEEDEDIt is a family run business with family values
I have recommended my coworkers to go to Bert's and they have been happy with the service as I have beenI even had my daughter take their vehicle in for service and maintenanceI wouldn't trust my granddaughter in a poorly maintained carBert's keeps them safe
Keep up the good work ladies and gents!

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2014/09/29) */
July 9, she brought in her *** with the following complaints: grinding noise in right front
area, A/C system not working - there was a burning smell one week prior and it no longer works and the
right front tire is
leaking airOur shop inspected the vehicle and found the following: front brakes 4mm
remaining on the pads with even wear, calipers moving freely and rotors within spec, rear brakes 4-5mm
remaining, calipers moving freely, rotors within spec and emergency brake cables sticking slightly, left
front strut leaking badly and squeaked badly when the suspension was going up and down, A/C
compressor seized and belt burnt, air filter very dirty, power steering fluid very dirty, brake fluid very
dirty, engine oil very dirty, right front tire down to psi and the right front headlight was missing
completelyAn estimate was completed and the owner approved the workNo brake work was
recommended except for the brake fluid flushWe started the repairsUpon removal of the tire for
repair, we noted that there was loose rubber inside which indicates that the tire has been driven on flat
or with low pressure*** warranty does not cover this type of "road hazard" and has not since
2006; they only cover defects and workmanshipOur shop offers free flat repairs and rotations but does
not replace tires due to under inflation concernsWhen we disassembled the front struts we noted that
the upper strut bearings were seized and the stabilizer link rods were seized and had to be broken to
removeAnother call was made to advise of the additional costsThese costs were approved*** We completed the work
and advised that the vehicle was ready for pick upThe work completed was: inspection of vehicle (not
charged for ), front strut replacement complete with strut bearings, air filter replacement, wheel
alignment, serpentine belt replacement for A/C, A/C receiver/drier and compressor replacement, A/C
recharge, power steering fluid flush, brake fluid flush, oil change, sway bar link replacement and one tire
replacementThe vehicle was paid for and picked upThe following day the customer called back to
advise that there was still some noise from the front brake areaWe advised her to return the vehicle to
our shop and we would recheck it for herWe took this opportunity to also discuss the fact that the car
we gave her to use when hers was in our shop was returned with dog hair covering the upholstery and
smelt of wet dogWe would have to charge her $for detailing and we asked her how she wanted
to handle thatShe offered to come in and clean it for usThat was the last time we heard from her
until her husband emailed us on August 8, In his email he states that the squealing from the brake
area was fixed temporarily and now happens intermittently and the A/C works but does not make a
difference in cooling the vehicleHe requested a refund and an apologyWe emailed back and
requested that they bring the vehicle back in for us to readdress his concernsThe vehicle was brought
back to us on August 22, and dropped off until they returned from holidays September 8,
We rechecked the alignment and made adjustments for the vehicle pulling to the right (at no charge)
We also recheck the brakes and found that the right brake caliper was dragging and keeping the right
side front brake applied slightly even when the brake pedal was not depressedWe recheck the A/C
system and found the temperature drop to be within specs but there was less air flow due to the
amount of dog hair and dirt on the A/C evaporatorWe spent another hours rechecking the vehicle
at no charge to themWe called to discuss this with them and they refused to discuss it and demanded
their money back then hung up on usWe send a quote to them via email and did not hear back from
them until they returned on September 8, When they came to our shop to pick up the vehicle
they refused to hear our explanation, *** We would like to note that their vehicle was very difficult to test drive as it
was extremely dirty inside with garbage, partially fully pop cans and dog hairThe mileage of the vehicle
when it was first brought to us was km and when it was last brought to us was kmWe
feel that we did do our due diligence in addressing their concerns but they refused to work with us, all
they wanted was moneyWe have pictures of our vehicle and their vehicle as well as the brakes on the
front of the van

Bert's was able to quickly diagnose and correct an alignment issue that was created by poor workmanship at another shop Friendly and clear communication Price as quoted

Not impressed My car had absolutely shut down on the Henday I had it towed to Bert's because they were in the west end and a member of Revdex.com They charged me $to say the engine was shot Granted they had to tow it from the front of the building to the back but I thought for an hour's work a quarter of a grande was excessive

I have been using Bert's for years nowWe are very please with the work on our vehiclesThey are a honest business and have always looked after our vehicle repairs

I have been dealing with Bert's for the past years I have never left unhappy Well trained technicians and pleasant staff

I've taken several vehicles to Bert's over the years and have always experienced excellent customer service and an honest opinionThe girls that work at the front counter are friendly and service is promptMostly recently I had a tire leak repaired there on my wife's ***Bert's found the leak and fixed it, despite a previous business claiming that there was no leak and the vehicle actually needed new rims insteadVery pleased to have an honest opinion that only cost me $or so versus the $1000+ the other business wantedDefinitely my "go to" for any tire related issue and they are always willing to try and fit an extra customer in if they canThis is something I greatly appreciate and you don't get from many franchise businesses these days
