Said business came out Saturday, February 7, 2015 to remove snow and ice off roof of residential two-story home. We walked the front and back of property and said business stated no problem they could remove all snow and ice off roof. They quoted $400.00 before seeing home and doubled that amount as finish quote. They worked until dark and charged us $550.00 for a job that was pretty shoddy. They didn't get to the top at all, took most of the snow off the roof over the family room and the second story floor. As for the garage, they got about three quarters of the way up. I called them the next day when it was lighter and saw what wasn't done. They didn't even offer to come back and finish the job. They stated the top roof was beyond their safety reach and they did apply calcium to the ice so it should fall right off. Well, there's plenty of icicles around.Desired SettlementI'll be glad to pay for some of the services rendered but $550.00, out of the question. We have to bring another company out to finish the job.Business Response We are going to call [redacted] and work out a plan. We dont mind giving a $150.00 back to the price of $400.00 thanks Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)The guy was very rude to me on the phone, if he thinks 150.00 is going to get me to go away, no. I told him on the phone 250.00 to 275.00. To get this guy out of my hair and not necessarily off your complaint records, we will take 200.00. Hope this guy doesn't come anywhere near our property again.Final Business Response We have called [redacted] to work out a deal but she has been very rude and hung up the phone on us. She also did not tell you that her roof had 3 to 4 feet of snow on it. When we tried to work out a deal she hung u. p the phone on us and would not call us back after we left a v-mail. She not once said to us she was not happy our call us to come back and make the job better. We also had to waite in her drive for 1 hour for her to go get her dogs from the spa. I was very unhappy with the way [redacted] would not call us back and work with us. Also when she called us she was told there is a $400.00 min for us to come out due to poeple saying they have ice dams and we get there and it is a allday job. Final Consumer Response The company stated they would refund $200.00 - we have yet to see it. Now, this is closed?????
