(x 15% = 750, what he said he owed for federal taxes on that money) (state taxes would only be lower if his total income in retirement is under 21,820, then only about .5% lower)(we apologized multiple times for the mistake, paid for any "higher" taxes on the money now vs later, paid the cost to amend, sent him a gift with an apologythere is not much more we can doWrite a complaint on your site if you want.)(it was a mistake, not intentionalWe benefited in now way from the mistake, it cost usIn fact it cost us more than we would have made over a couple years managing the IRA)

We have already responded to the client and paid restitution for a clerical office mistakeWe paid for the amendment and an an additional $for taxes that he would owe nowHe is being unreasonable with his requestWhile his taxes may be lower in retirement (I would argue otherwise, but for the
matter at hand, let's assume they are), there would still be taxes dueHe is only paying 15% for federal now, they cannot be much lower in retirementWe paid $of the $he owes nowState taxes do not change as muchAs far as estimates, those are just estimates, he can choose to pay what he feels appropriate (based on last year's income or this years projection which he assumes will be more)Regardless, the estimates are for taxes and will be refunded if he overpaysIf he does make more as he projects, he should be paying more in estimates anywayThis is not additional taxes, just the estimates for 2016, estimates are ran to be safe and again are for this years taxesIt is not an additional taxLastly, he would not have received much if anything in interest in a month, in fact, he may have lost as the market has not been goodThe amount he put for interest is probably more than he would make the whole year in this market (not a month)We have apologized and sent restitution, we do not feel there is anymore we can doHe has the $back, he did not lose the money and he has an additional $for taxes plus the amendment cost of $was also paid

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I find it very interesting that they feel they know that I'm only paying "15% for federal now".  I file a joint return with my wife and her income is much higher than my own, so we pay much more than 15%.  Because of this error on thier part it did cost us an additional $302.00 in state taxes, as well as a large increase in our federal taxes.  Our joint income in our retirement will definitely be less than it is now. I am not done with this yet. They are not taking full reponsibility for their mistake.  I would like something posted on the Revdex.com website regarding their error, which has cost us money as well as aggrevation. I want people that may be thinking of having any financial planning done with them to be leary of their practices.
Regards,
