There are a couple of reasons I haven't responded to this  "complaint" 1st off I never had an agreement or a contract with the complain tent!  Her dad is a friend of my cousin and I met him about 8 yrs  back he bagged me to go work on his daughters place witch is about 1-1/2 hrs from...

were I am located.  He came to my house every day for three weeks begging me to go up and help him at his daughters place.  I did finally drive up to look at the project with him he told me he had some one to do the job for $3000 and I told him he better hire them then I would not even be close to that price.  I told him it was a $6000 to $8000 but I would give him a deal but would only be able to do certain parts of the job he wanted all kind of extras from the very beginning.  I also ended up buying some materials but was reimburse for them I do have a returned certified letter I sent to her dad [redacted] in witch we layed   We also took one to his house and gave it to him it states the work we did and the extra work we did along with a invoice for the difference but of course we never heard back and he refused the certified letter.   As well as that as of 10-17-2015 my wife and I have been separated and are in the process of divorce so she is no help to me she held all my mail till last week when I had a court order to get it . and the # you have been calling is her old # in witch I had suspended till last week. and I did call back and left a message as soon as I heard the message to me.Thank youBert [redacted] enterprises Inc[redacted]

Review: I entered into an agreement with Bert [redacted] on August 11, 2015 to complete a framing project on my existing garage roof before winter/late fall for four thousand dollars cash. That was his bid for the total project. I paid Mr. [redacted] $4800 in cash. He claimed the additional $800 for materials, however can only furnish proof of $450 in materials. I paid him $1000 cash on August 13, 2015, $2000 cash on August 24, 2015, and a last payment of $1800 cash on September 4, 2015, before his was finished with the project. He never returned after I paid him the last payment, as promised. Not only did he never return, but he refused to answer phone calls from my father (my father is helping me with the project), and refused to contact me or my father. My father went to his home to inquire when he would finish the project and Mr. [redacted] responded rudely, unprofessionally, and was extremely discourteous. Mr. [redacted] yelled at my father that he (Mr. [redacted]) was dealing with personal problems, that it wasn't a good time to talk, and ordered my father to leave. It was obvious at that time, Mr. [redacted] was not going to finish the project as promised. I was then put into a position of hiring another contractor to finish the job before inclement weather arrived. I have now suffered extreme financial damages as I paid the second contractor a substantial amount to timely finish the work Mr. [redacted] promised to do. In addition, after I sent Mr. [redacted] a letter requesting we resolve this matter by him returning $1500 of my money, he had the gall and the unprofessional discourtesy to change his prior bid and agreement - after he didn't do what he said he was going to do in the first place - and send a bill!Desired Settlement: My offered settlement is for Mr. [redacted] to return $1500, as I realize he did perform some of the work. This is an extremely generous offer so as to avoid the expense of a lawsuit (which would also involve his bond company).

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received, your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved]

Revdex.com,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Mr. [redacted]'s statement is false and inaccurate. He even submitted an invoice which states the original bid to be $4000. He then changed his bid/offer ONLY AFTER he failed to complete the job he agreed to do, and after I sent him a letter requesting resolution via certified mail. When he refused to complete the job, the reason he stated was personal problems. He now clarifies his wife filed divorce, but that is not a good or legally sound reason to not complete a job he promised to do after being paid in full. I am seeking a very small compensation for his breach of contract and am being more than generous considering I had to pay another contractor substantially more to complete the job before inclement weather set in.
