Recall on hand sanitizer and no way to contact company.
BeSafe hand sanitizer- FDA issued alert on July 2nd product for company to recall. On July 10, FDA issued import alert to block product from entering US. Nothing anywhere from BeSafe Industries, LLC about recalling. Their website flagged by Norton as being unsafe. No number to call, product still being sold at BJ's where I bought it due to what I guess is no recall from the company. Purchased 2 60.8 fl. Oz. Bottles on July 30th. I think BJ's is going to refund my money but this is really an issue with this company.
A recall for contaminated product, reimbursement if BJ's doesn't give it to me.
The products sold at BJs are NOT recalled. The FDA recalled products produced at a factory named Tropicosmeticos. In the FDA list, BeSafe is linked to Tropicosmeticos, with the attached product status: "Product purported to be made at the same facility that produced methanol contaminated product;". BeSafe has NEVER manufactured products at Tropicosmeticos, nor any other facility that produced methanol contaminated products and are referenced in the FDA list. BeSafe lawyers are working with the FDA towards the removal of BeSafe name being associated with Tropicosmeticos, a factory which it has never worked with.

I accept their response, however, I am still leery of this product until such time the FDA removes it from their list. The FDA also issued an alert to stop the product from entering the US. Until such time that the FDA removes it from their list, I can not take a chance on the health of my family by using this product. I would ask that case be held open until company notifies you that the the FDA has cancelled their notice (with a reasonable amount of time given to do this)
The product that the consumer has is NOT recalled by the FDA. The FDA recalled products produced by Tropicosmeticos, which that company unilaterally linked their NDC codes with that of BeSafe. BeSafe has never produced or even contracted to produce product from Tropicosmeticos. The product received by BJs came from another factory, one that is not linked in the FDA do not use list. The product received by BJs has been thoroughly tested, and does not contain methanol. BeSafe, the brand and the company, is very much a victim of the unilateral actions taken by Tropicosmeticos by linking their NDC codes to BeSafe. BJs understands these facts, and is why BJs continue to sell this product. Even with this information, if the consumer is not satisfied, BeSafe is happy to refund them. Please link in this complaint information on the purchase price, along with any proof of purchase if possible, and BeSafe will send a check to the customer for the purchase amount. Please also link address information and to whom to issue the check. We appreciate the customers business, and truly understand their concerns. Regardless, we will continue to work with the FDA towards removal of BeSafe's name being linked with Tropicosmeticos, a factory BeSafe has never manufactured from.

I accept this as true. My big concern was it still being on the FDA list, however, the company seems very sincere and honest in last response. It is not necessary to refund me the money as BJ's offered me a gift card in response to my inquiry with them. Had I been able to contact company directly, the Revdex.com would not have needed to be involved. But, when Norton tells me it is a unsafe site, I am not about to click on it. You may close the case, I am satisfied with there response.
