I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this response is satisfactory to me.  I would like it noted that the business did not resolve this dispute, but instead offered a series of excuses.  Failed to return calls or respond timely.  They were good at promises but didn't once deliver as promised.  I have disputed this with my credit card company and THEY are helping me to resolve with the merchant.

 They tend to ignore you and give you 'their' easiest way out of a refund, which was to contest the charge.  According to my bank, had I waited another three weeks, I would not have been within the time limit to contest this. Sincerely,[redacted]

We spoke to the customer this morning.  He disputed the amount with [redacted]  We will not contest the dispute and have cancelled his order.

I want a refund! I emailed 4 times. This was not delivered on time for Christmas, even tho it was in the comments that I wanted it for my son's Christmas. It finally came on Jan 12, 2017-it was off color, stunk like old whiskey or yeast (?) and had no lobster pieces in it. It was disgusting, and our barn cats would not even eat it! I want a refund! I asked for a refund before you even sent the soup bcuz you took forever to send it, ignoring us-and now it is not even edible. Got dooped by bes dam soup! $63+ for yucky soup. I am serious, it is horrible, and we are hoping that we won't be sick for the small taste we took from it. Bad bad bad. Does anyone work in customer service here? Nancy Kilian

Review: I purchased (2) 3-month soup-of-the-month club gifts as Christmas present in December 2014. We have tried multiple times to redeem the gift and have yet to receive any products. You can no longer search products on their website. Instead it says "Bes'Dam Soup store is temporarily closed while we finish completing a large backlog of orders. Please check back here again in the summer 2015. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and look forward to servicing you again shortly." As far as I gather from reviews on other sites and other complaints through Revdex.com, they are rarely actually open. It appears as though their website is up an running around the holidays to scam people and then they shut it down and say they are inundated with backlogged orders.

I have called during the "spring office hours" listed when you call their office number (Monday and Wednesday from 9:00 to 3:00pm EST) and have only got someone to pick up once during those hours. I was able to reach a lady April [redacted] and she proceeded to take my information and order and ensure me the order would be filled. We have not received the order and I was never sent an order confirmation as promised.

I have also filled out the web submission form under the "Contact Us" tab on the website and emailed my order to the address listed on their voice mail system in an attempt to redeem the gifts.Desired Settlement: I would like full delivery of both soup of the month club gifts OR a full refund.

I called and emailed for refund and received no assistance, email response, or confirmation I would be refunded. I feel my money was stolen. Please help.Desired Settlement: Refund my credit card for the total amount.

Review: Purchased a 3 Month Soup of the Month Basket gift certification and paid in full on 12/*/2013. Recipients of the gift called and emailed business several times in early January to try and place order. No response from business. On 1/**/14, I emailed business asking if they were still in business. [redacted] called recipient to take order and indicated order would be shipped within 2 days unless indicated otherwise. On 1/**/14 still no delivery or contact from business so I followed up with an email asking to cancel order and for payment to be refunded. No response. On 1/** the recipient received a notice that shipment was originated by the business however Fed Ex indicated it was never dropped off to Fed Ex. Called and emailed business, asked that they cancel order per my previous instructions and issue refund. No response. Finally reached [redacted] and he indicated how backlogged they'd been, etc. [redacted] agreed to issue refund later that same day. 1/**/14 [redacted] called to verify payment type and request information. Requested information was provided same day. No refund as promised. Email follow up to business on 2/*/14. No response. On 2/*/14 we received another notice of shipment. Called and emailed business indicating shipment should be cancelled and refund issued. Refused shipment with Fed Ex. No response from business after emailing, leaving messages and trying the owner's cell phone (he'd provided the number). That cell mailbox is full and unable to accept messages. Filed a dispute through the credit card company. Business has not met a single date or followed through on any commitments made. Can't speak to product by I know the business ethics and service levels are horrid.Desired Settlement: Desire a full refund of the December payment.

Gift Certificate for Soup of the Month was placed on 12/*/13. Customer called to redeem it in early January.

We had sold 4x's as many as these as the previous year and were inundated with customers redeeming them all in January.

Because of this, we had a challenge communicating with this complaint as well as a few others who had been quite patient with us.

Finally, this customer requested a refund. I agreed and offered to send something to her gift recipient anyway with our compliments. I processed the refund that day, and although we were still extremely busy sent out the complimentary food with a week or two. We had not realized that the refund did not properly process to her card. After the complimentary food was shipped, the customer refused it, and left me a message that she did not recieve the promised refund. Now that I was aware that she did not receive the credit to her card, I suggested at this point that she simply dispute it to ensure she get the refund. I assured her that I would not contest it. I was contacted by her credit card company within a day or so be email, and agreed to the refund.

The refund was withdrawn from my bank on February **, 2014. To my knowledge, this was resolved at that point.

Review: placed order on December *, 2014. My credit card was charged at the time order placed. Have not received order. I have sent numerous emails requesting cancellation of order and refund issued to my credit card. No response to my emails. No refund has been issued and no product has been received.Desired Settlement: This company does not have the man power to fulfill their orders, but they have no problem putting their customers money into their bank account. I am not the only upset customer. I'm done with the excuses and I'm done with this company. All I want is my credit card to be refunded immediately.

Review: received a gift certificate from bes'dam soup and made an order. As of this date we have not received the soup. We have made several attempts and spoke to a representative and as of yet have had no response. We have tried to contact them at their telephone number and also their website and again no response.Desired Settlement: The return the money for this gift to my daughter-in-law

Review: I purchased two $50.00 gift certificates from this company on December **, 2015. I gave each of my grown children the gift certificates for Christmas. My daughter placed her order in early January. As of the end of March (about the [redacted]), she had not received her soup. I emailed the company and got no response. My daughter then cancelled her order (because at this point winter is over and she no longer felt like soup!) and told the company to return my money. My son, after hearing about the disaster of not receiving soup within a week or two, had decided he wanted no part of this company that does not deliver their product and asked me to ask for a refund. I did so and received a letter from customer service telling me the following: "At this time it shows in our system as cancelled. Please call your credit card company to dispute it so you get your refund quickly. Please accept our apologies for all the troubles you have had." I felt that they needed to just refund my money, as they had been sitting with it for three months, and do not know why I had to go through the hassle of disputing the charge (which was on my debit card through the bank). I did, however, go through the dispute process with my bank. This is an extremely poor way to do business. We would like them to return our money to our bank account.Desired Settlement: Refund my money. I don't care if they apologize or not. It is an unacceptable way to do business and I would never do business with them again anyway.
