The BMW 325i was brought to Bessemer Tire for multiple repair problems as the car had been sitting and the customer was not sure if it would be drivableThe customer drove the car and said "it was not wanting to steer easy"The customer
requested us to check the power steering, headlights, tail lights, back tire alignment, and shocksShe also requested that we check the oil and change if neededUpon inspecting the vehicle, our mechanic found that the oil was low and could not be changed because the oil filter housing was leakingIt was also discovered that the reservoir and the radiator were leaking and needed to be replacedThe customer offered to supply a radiator and was told that we do not install major components from unknown vendorsAfter discussing these problems with *** our initial contact, it was decided the only repairs to be authorized would be replacing the power steering pump, water pump pulley and associated parts supplied by Bessemer TireA belt for the power steering pump was supplied by the customer and installed*** signed the estimate, which was written on 09/23/15, authorizing the repairsThe estimated amount was $Also discussed was the radiator, reservoir, and oil filter housing; the client indicated that she did not want to spend more and that the vehicle would be picked up
In the original complaint, the customer acknowledges that in addition to the power steering problem, the vehicle was overheating, front lights "shorting", and brake lights were not working before arriving at Bessemer Tire, so being that customer acknowledged the vehicle was overheating before arriving, we did not clean "overheating residue" from the engine because she did not want any further work done

It's unfortunate that Ms. [redacted] was dissatisfied with our recommendation of replacing sixteen wheel nuts on her vehicle. Our suggestion was made only in the interest of her safety. She was shown the wear of the parts in question and agreed to the...

installation. Bessemer Tire did not charge full price for the parts and no labor was charged for the installation. Bessemer Tire has not been in business since 1967 by attempting to mislead customers and installing unneeded parts.
The original lug nuts were returned to Ms. [redacted]. If she should decide to have these lug nuts reinstalled at some other establishment with no cost to Bessemer Tire, and returns the new lug nuts that we installed to Bessemer Tire, we will refund the purchase price and sales tax she paid. Please be aware that in the interest of safety, we do not recommend reinstalling the original lug nuts which we consider to be unsafe, and we will not be responsible for any problems connected with the procedure.

I do not accept this response since I have shown the lug nuts taken off my tires to at least 13 different men and they ALL say there is NOTHING wrong with them. When I asked each of them had they ever had 16 lug nuts replaced at one time their response has been, "No". However, since the owners feel they are so right, I will not bother them again....however, I know quite a few more people that won't either. One man even said they probably got a good deal on lug nuts and wanted to sell them. I truly believe that since they had a lot full of cars to be worked on, they were not making any money rotating my tires for free. I hope you can sleep well with the decision you made. I can.
