I did return to Best Auto Mart four years after purchasing a vehicle with hopes of purchasing an upgradeHowever Mr Raghid I*** is not being honest in his response I test drove the car twice, I was unable to find a problem at that momentWhen signing the paperwork to purchase the vehicle, I noticed that there was an As Is AgreementThe agreement had things listed at the bottom "transmission, engine" etc because this was my first time purchasing a car alone and I was unsure of what this agreement meant, I asked Mr I***, what the As Is Agreement meant & if that was a list of things that were wrong with the car, he told me "no", that the vehicle was in "good condition"and that there was nothing wrong with the car. Therefore since I had purchased a car from Best Auto Mart in the past (with the help of a relative), and since initially I had not seen a problem when test driving the vehicle, I trusted Mr I***'s explanation and followed through with purchasing the vehicle under the impression that this was protocol. Mr I*** stated "Why would she buy the car with these problems?" Mr I*** was/is not honest when asked about the car & is fully aware that I knew nothing about the problems that this car had. Mr I*** also stated in his response"sometimes after driving the car for a while, the customer may run into some issuesI gave her the car in good condition; after over three months later she reported to me that the car was having some issues."This statement is untrue because the following day after purchasing the car, I "ran into some issues", the check engine light came on, and I reported this to Mr I*** immediately I took the car to Advance Auto Parts for a diagnostic and was told that the #cylinder was misfiringI retuned the car to Mr I*** , he said that it was a minor issue and that he would fix itWhen I returned to Best Auto Mart he said that he had his cousin fix the problem, at that point the check engine light was no longer onShortly after taking my newly purchased car home, the check engine light came on again, I reported this to Mr I*** as well I had a diagnostic done at the Nissan dealership and found $worth of work that the car needed (vent valve leak, an emissions leak, a vacuum hose tear) in order for the check engine light to go offIn addition, I found out in October after just three months of driving it, that the car actually had internal engine damage as well as damaged spark plugsShortly after this, I noticed the car had gotten louder as I was driving it, I took it back to the mechanic and found that the exhaust pipe had broken & was no longer attached to the muffler The engine was replaced by the warranty company on Nov 9th, this was the only repair that the warranty company will approveThere is still approximately $1,worth of work needed for this car to pass state inspection. Mr I*** did not give me the car "in good condition". Mr I*** stated "When she purchased the car from me, none of these problems existedIf these problems existed, it would be easy to sense." There is no way I could have possibly been the cause of these problems after only four months of driving the carThese problems were found after professional diagnostics were done, it is impossible for it to be "easy to sense" these problems with the car after only two test drives I have kept the receipts as proof of the diagnostics and engine repair work that has been done to the vehicle.

To whom it may concern,My name is Raghid I[redacted]; I am the owner of Best Auto Mart. On July 20th, 2015, I solda 2010 Nissan Sentra to Mrs. [redacted]. Mrs. [redacted] was a previous customer of mine whobought a car from me and that car was still running after four years with almost 200,000 miles onit....

She decided she would like an upgrade, and because I sold her a good car at a good price thatlasted a fairly long time (relative to other used cars), she returned to Best Auto Mart. After testdriving the Sentra on two different occasions she decided that this car would be her next. With thecar, a two year warranty was provided through the finance company she used. I made it clear toher that with every used car bought anywhere there may be risks. Although I put my maximumeffort to fix all my cars to be "like new", sometimes after driving the car for a while, the customermay run into some issues. I gave her the car in good condition; after over three months later shereported to me that the car was having some issues. I explained to her that I can not beresponsible for the issues she was having with her car. Mrs. [redacted] claims that the exhaustpipe is broken, there is a vent valve leak, an emissions leak, a vacuum hose tear, damaged sparkplugs, internal engine failure, and “possible transmission damage”. When she purchased the carfrom me, none of these problems existed. If these problems existed, it would be easy to sense. Why would she buy the car with these problems? How did this car manage to drive for over threemonths with all of these issues? Why would she wait over three months to report these problems?I am truly sorry for any problems that Mrs. [redacted] is having with her car, I simply can not beresponsible for them. I advised her to talk to the warranty she received through her financecompany.(Please keep in mind that Mrs. [redacted] also signed an As Is Agreement relieving Best AutoMart of any responsibility.)Side Note: The warranty company paid for her claims. At this point I have no business with her.Sincerely,Raghid I[redacted]

Review: I purchased a 2010 Nissan Sentra from Best Auto Mart on 07/20/15. I went to Best Auto Mart because I had purchased a car from them approximately four years ago without problem. It was now time to trade the old car in, so I returned to the dealership. I have had the 2010 Nissan Sentra now for three months and with two diagnostics have found that it has over $3,000 worth of work that it needs to not only pass the up-coming inspection but to be a safe & reliable vehicle. Needed repairs include: Vent Valve Leak, Emissions Leak, Vacuum Hose Tear, Broken Exhaust Pipe, Possible Transmission Damage, Damaged Spark Plugs, and Internal Engine Failure. So far, all but one of these repairs are not covered by the warrenty company.Desired Settlement: I went to Best Auto Mart to purchase a safe and reliable vehicle, like I had done four years ago. Instead I have been sold the exact opposite of that. My desired resolution would be either reimbursement for the vehicle and the money spent on the vehicle or financial aide in finding a safe and reliable car for me to drive.

Response:

I did return to Best Auto Mart four years after purchasing a vehicle with hopes of purchasing an upgrade. However Mr Raghid I[redacted] is not being honest in his response. I test drove the car twice, I was unable to find a problem at that moment. When signing the paperwork to purchase the vehicle, I noticed that there was an As Is Agreement. The agreement had things listed at the bottom "transmission, engine" etc because this was my first time purchasing a car alone and I was unsure of what this agreement meant, I asked Mr I[redacted], what the As Is Agreement meant & if that was a list of things that were wrong with the car, he told me "no", that the vehicle was in "good condition"and that there was nothing wrong with the car.
