Revdex.com:At this time, my complaint, ID *** regarding Best Buy Motors has been resolved

Customer leased a Acura. Terms of the lease dictate that the customer must maintain full coverage insurance on the vehicle at all times. Best Buy Motors was notified that the customer's insurance cancelled on 8-10-for non-payment (see attached
documentation). Customer was notified of the insurance cancellation. Best Buy Motors was notified that the customer's policy was reinstated on 8-13-with a lapse (see attached documentation). Upon being notified that the customer's insurance cancelled, Best Buy Motors purchased collateral protection insurance to protect its asset and the customer is responsible for this cost per terms of the lease. All written correspondence on behalf of the insurance company to Best Buy Motors shows the customer did not have full coverage insurance on the vehicle from 8-10-thru 8-12-16. Best Buy Motors has received no written correspondence that there was full coverage on the vehicle from 8-10-thru 8-12-16. Therefore, the customer's owes for the collateral protection coverage purchased by Best Buy Motors. All written documentation received by Best Buy Motors on behalf of the customer's insurance company indicates the policy did cancel and was reinstated with a lapse(see attached documentation)If customer can provide written documentation from her insurance company that verifies customer had full coverage insurance from 8-10-thru 8-12-16, Best Buy Motors will refund $to the customer for the cost of the collateral protection insurance purchased on the vehicle by Best Buy Motors

All lease customers sign and receive a GPS and Starter interrupter disclosure form upon delivery of the vehicle. Customer's are asked to call Best Buy Motors if they have issues with their vehicle. In this customer's case, there appears to be an issue with the computer setting up the
account and that is being corrected. As a good faith gesture, Best Buy Motors will credit the customer's account $for the tow bill only

I reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find the resolution is satisfactory to me

Customer leased, NOT PURCHASED, a Toyota RAVon April 8, 2017. The payment terms of the lease are very simple: customer is to make the agreed to payments on time or the customer can return the vehicle to the dealership. Customer can not lease the vehicle and not pay for the
rental period. This customer was days late on their payment and chose not to return the vehicle to the dealership as stated in the lease agreement. The phone number on file for customer was called on May 30th and May 31st. Both times a message was received that the number was not accepting calls. Since the customer was days past due and Best Buy Motors was not able to contact the customer, the vehicle was recovered from customer. No one is being scammed in this situation. One of the benefits of the terms of the lease agreement is that if the customer experiences a financial hardship, they can return the vehicle. The customer did not do that in this circumstance. In an effort to resolve this matter, Best Buy Motors will accept the customer's proposed resolution to pay the following due on the account:$- past due payment, $recovery fee, $mileage overage, $for license plate registration (temporary tag expires 6-3-17) and $for payment due June 3rd. Total due = $885.40.Customer to pay mileage fee per terms of lease agreement every two weeks in addition to lease payment. The customer can ask for Amanda if this offer is accepted. She can process the payments and get the car returned to customer

[redacted] leased a 2004 Gr Am from Best Buy Motors on 9-2-16.  Rick, our sales person, reviewed the lease with customer.  The amount due at lease signing was $1608.50.  Customer could not pay this entire amount upon delivery of the vehicle, but agreed to pay $500 upon delivery (see attached receipt and debit card receipts) and to make 4 deferred payments of $277.13 starting on 9-16-16 and continuing every 2 weeks with the last deferred payment due on 10-28-16.  After the deferred payments were paid, customer's lease payments of $139.75 would start on 11-11-16 and are due every 2 weeks.  The customer may return the car anytime during the lease without penalty for any reason.  If the customer can not make a payment, they must return the vehicle.Customer did not make the required payment that was due on 9-16-16 and customer did not return the vehicle as required.  The vehicle was recovered on 9-27-16.  Customer was offered to continue the lease if she could get current on the amount due plus the vehicle recovery fee.Attached is a copy of the lease agreement initialed by customer where the itemization of payments is disclosed and the lease agreement was signed by customer.  Also attached is a copy of the receipt for the $500 paid by customer when she took delivery of the vehicle on 9-2-16.  There are copies of 2 debit receipts for $75.  It is the policy of Best Buy Motors not to accept credit cards.  Only debit cards are accepted.  Customer authorized payment with her debit card.  $500 is the only amount that has been paid by customer. Also attached is a copy of the GPS TRACKING AND DISABLING DEVICE disclosure signed by customer. Please let me know if you need any additional information.Rob S[redacted] Manager, Best Buy Motors

Best Buy Motors has responded to this complaint and provided copies of the lease agreement and payment receipts. Best Buy Motors has no additional response at this time.

Customer had an appointment in service shop on 4/20/17.  Customer cancelled this appointment and showed up on Friday 4/21/17 demanding we service the vehicle.  The service department is not prepared for unscheduled appointments on Friday.  Customer became disruptive, Whitehall police...

were called.  Customer removed her personal items from the vehicle.  The customer returned the vehicle according to the terms of the lease agreement.  Best Buy Motors considers the account closed.

The customer is continually behind on their lease payment and extended service contract payment.  Customer receives a reminder notice with each payment that they make indicating that their vehicle will be disabled from starting once their account is 6 days past due. ...

So, the customer knows what to expect if their account is past due.   In an effort to get the customer current and explain their account, one of our manager's, [redacted], reviewed an itemized schedule of payments from customer and reviewed each payment customer made and how it was applied to the accounts.  After this meeting on 3-18-15,customer indicated they understood their payment history and it was agreed that the customer would come in and pay $77.34 on 3/19 towards their lease account and to pay on the service contract account.  Customer did not pay as agreed and did not come back to pay on the account until 3-31-15.  Customer paid $220 that day.  $110 was applied to the lease payment and $110 applied to the service contract payment due.  The customer's lease payment is $150.50 and the service contract payment is $60.  Since customer did not pay the $77.34 as agreed on 3/19, additional late fees were incurred.Best Buy Motors is willing to waive any late fees and give the customer until 4-10-15 to get the account current.  This would include the current balance of $197.84 ($187.84 due on lease and $10 due on service contract) and payment for lease payment of $150.50 due 4-10-15 and $60 for service contract due 4-10-15 for a total due $408.34.  This would be the last payment customer owes on service contract and customer would not have another lease payment due until 4-24-15 and no further service contracts.  Customer will need to call [redacted]  ext. 108 by 4-9-15 to inform of her intentions.  After 4-9-15, Best Buy Motors will recover the vehicle.Additionally, if the customer is current on their account, the lease agreement allows the customer to return the car without penalty at any time and with no obligation for future payments.

At this time, I have been contacted directly by Best Buy Motors regarding complaint ID [redacted], however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
The car has fixed. The same problem still exist. On May *, 2016 the passenger front door was not opening , the passenger front light hold with...

tape and service car lights were on which is why he kept the car for repair till date. On March *, 2017 the dealer told me that he is getting the lamp from Ohio and my respond to him was I don't believe whatever comes from his mouth since he said he fix the car and upon check up it discovered he did not do any repair. Till date the car is still with him.

Customer did not purchase a vehicle.  The customer leased a 2007 Pontiac G6.  The amount due at lease signing was $2146.  Customer agreed to pay $1000 the day vehicle was delivered and then make 4 payments of $286.50.  Customer's insurance company was contacted to verify full...

coverage insurance on the vehicle and the insurance company indicated that the customer had cancelled the insurance.  Having no full coverage insurance on the vehicle is a default of the terms of the lease and the lease was terminated. There is nothing to refund to customer.  Customer still owes the balance of the amount due at lease signing which is $646. ($2146 - $1000 - 500 security deposit = $646)
