My mother which is a senior citizen has been having issue with this company going on 6 mos now.They have been giving us the run around for months. Asked for before and after pics. One person came and took my mothers money and then they had someone throw something on her roof because it could not have been fixed correctly because her roof has been linking. Called the owner several times and have been getting the run around for months. My mother is a senior and she paid them 3000.00 for a job that I dont think they did it because the roof is still linking. They preyed on an elderly person. I will also be filing a complaint with the consumer general office as well. I want a refund or they do the job correctly. But at this point they did not care that they did not care for my mother or other senior citizen that are on a fixed income.

Crew arrived, changed mind of what they were going to do,spent less than 4 house working, insisted on balance to be paid in cash.
Gave them a check for $2800.00

He will not repair

On July 5, 2019, I entered into a verbal contract over the phone that I wanted to use this compant to repair my porch. I asked what do I need to do now. I was told that the estimate that was written on July 3, 2019, required me to submit a deposit of $2300.00 before any work could begin. The office called me, received my credit card info, and then emailed me a transaction receipt. I never heard from anyone again about issuing me a start date. I called, an hour after my deposit went through successfully, and was told someone named Steven would call me back Monday. Monday came but I didnt get the call. I called the office Monday, July 8th, to ask did they have start date. Theperson who took my credit card info, Megan, said she was calling the guy Sten again. Now the call was to come to me by the end of that day. No call came. That evening, I went on my computer and typed cancellation letter. I knew my 3 business days cancellation would expire by Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at exactly 72hrs from the time my credit card made that transaction...3:11 p.m. When I tried to email the letter to the address on the letterhead of the estimate, it became UNDELIVERABLE. I ended up revising the letter and taking it to the address on the letterhead, and website. The address no longer existed! I called the numbers I had been using to contact Steven and Megan. Steven answered and told me they had moved 'this'week'! Now this was Tuesday that Im trying to deliver my cancellation letter. I was given the new address. I told him that I was on my way with my letter. Now, after hanging up, 10 mins later my cellphone rings. Its the roofing company saying someone will be there in two hours. I called back when arriving home and said dont come because I am cancelling. I said no one called me back with a start date all this time, now when I tell you I am trying to get to your office with my letter, all of a sudden I HAVE A STARTING DATE! I said too late. I told them they were unprofessional, that they took my money to start work.

Best Buy Roofing on 07/11/2017 came out to my residence to install on my upper main roof a new rubber system and "build up the gutter area for proper drainage" and install the same type rubber system on the front lower porch roof. The main roof from the very beginning has had standing water in the area where the "build up for proper drainage was done" I contacted the company on 07/15/2017 to complain about the problem but no one came out. I again called on 10/31/2017 and I was told someone would be out on Thursday 11/02/2017. When no one showed up, I called back and was told someone will be out Friday, 11/03/2017, again no one showed. There's now a leak on my porch roof which I called and reported on the following dates: 11/26/2018, told someone will be out by the end of the week, no one came, so I called again on 11/28/2018 and 11/29/2018 to verify that someone would show up. On 11/30/2018, Steve came out and accessed the problem with the porch roof and said he would send someone to repair the roof, Monday 12/03/2018, again no one showed. I've been calling the company ever since on the following dates with no response to either issue: 12/05/2018, 12/06/2018 left a message with a woman who answered the phone and identified herself as Katherine to have the business owner contact me. Since no one was answering the phone I started calling and just leaving messages. On 12/12/2018 I called and Katherine answered. She said that Steve said someone will be out over the weekend of 12/14-12/16 2018. No one showed. That was my last contact with anyone from the company.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. The company did send out an employee as promised. He made repairs to the porch roof. I waited until we had inclement weather to ensure that the porch roof no longer leaked. As of this email, it appears that the problem with the porch roof was done satisfactorily.

We had our new roof put on by Best Buy Roofing about 4 or 5 year ago. We than had our ceiling in our house replaced in 2016 as there was damage on them, so we fixed them thinking the roof was okay since it was a brand new roof that was put on. This past summer I contacted the roofer because I noticed the ceiling started leaking in the same spots. He came once to put a couple of new shingles on the roof. Since June 9th of this year ive been contacting him via phone and text messages and no respond. I have two small children in my house, let alone more interior damages since he doesn't want to come out and fix the job he has done. And he gave me a ten year warranty

I have attached numerous text messages sent to the owner of best buy roofing with no response. He did send a guy out to look at the roof once back in April/May. But obviously it did nothing and since than I have been trying to contact him and no response. I have two children in my house age 2 and 4 months. I paid 4000 dollars to have a new roof done and still leaking plus with more damages that its going to cost me to fix. I also emailed his office requesting documents that I need of paperwork like the receipt and the warranty and no has gotten back to me. I have attached this for your records too. The pictures in the text messages are hard to see as I can only print in black and white.

Hi my name is ***. I contacted Affordable Roofing regarding rain entering my resident. A consultant name Steve visited my home 8-17-2018 where we signed a contract for repairs, seal and coat of all rooftops in the amount of $900.00. On 8-23-2018 two unprofessional men arrived at my home to began the work. Upon arrival they did not acknowledge the fact that I was present nor did they attempt. They left without completing the project and asked that I pay them more money. I contacted the company whom immediately sent the two men back to my property. My roof were sprayed like a pre k student with something white or silver, no repairs were made. The holes are clearly visible. I have made several calls to he company only to be told by a female named Kathy that Steve will return my call or visit my resident. I requested a full refund and was informed by Kathy that this was not possible. I have not heard from Richard the owner or Steve whom I entered the contract with since 9/17/2018. In addition I've expressed the hardship this has on my family in addition to possibly having my homeowners insurance canceled. Please stay away from this company. The image of the contractors are very unprofessional as well as the staff overall.

I am rejecting this response because: When it rain my basement still receives water from the chimney in addition rain still gets in my bathroom possibly through the skylight not being sealed properly. Steve has not attempted to contact me as I stated previously. My last contact with Steve was 8/17/2017 the day of entering the fraudulent contract. Catherine has only called once. However Steve informed me the day of signing the contract that the roof could not be repaired during the rain. The day services were made it rained and continued to rain for 3 additional days. The roof has since bubbled. I am pursing legal action. In addition I received no before or after pictures.

On 11/25/17, I put a down payment for Best Buy Roofing to repair my roof in which moisture was building up on the front porch. It is now May 10, 2018 and they have not repaired the porch nor refunded our down payment. On numerous occasions I have called them with no responses in which I left messages. At one point they said that they did not have a copy of the contract but I have emailed a copy to them over 8 times. A lot of times they told us that they were coming but never showed up. They even give us a time and still do not show. I realize that there was a lot of snow and rain this winter but there were dry days. They don't even call to let us know or call to set up another appointment. On their letter head contract, the address and phone number is not even correct. The person who took the money gave us his card and that is the only way that we were able to have their number.

Contracted with Best Buy Roofing in December, 2016 to make a repair to leaking chimney stack on our roof. Initial estimate was increased by $475.00 when the workers arrived onsite to do the repair. Told the wrong parts were ordered and what we needed was more expensive. We had to live with a tarp covered hole in our roof for two weeks when they arrived yet again with incorrect parts. Same location started to leak again in July and it took numerous phone calls (and video of the amount of leakage) before someone came out to repair. We were told the original work was done incorrectly but now should be fine. On October 30th we again experienced a leak in the same spot. An email with photo of the leak was sent to Mr. Richard Y, owner of Best Buy roofing. We were contacted by his assistant, Danielle and scheduled an appointment for Monday, November 6th at 8:00. Phone call at 9:00am stated we needed to be rescheduled. A worker came out to our home without notice on Wednesday, 11/8 and told my husband that he thought the caulking was cracked but he was told not to do any work until the owner, Mr. Y, came out to inspect the roof. Mr. Y was supposed to be at our home on Thursday, 11/9. It is now Monday, 11/13 and we still have not heard from Mr. Y or his office, our roof is still leaking where they did the initial work and phone calls and emails go unanswered. I am now afraid I will have to pay another roofer to repair the work we contracted with Best Buy to do almost a year ago and paid for in good faith.
