Got a rebuilt transmission at a reasonable price
Had some problem with it after install and *** stepped up and replaced the transmission and paid for a shop to do the switch
Backed up their product and warranty
No threats, just good service
Problems are typical But how they're dealt with is telling

I recently had the good fortune of finding Best Buy Transmission when the one in my 1995 Tahoe lost upper gears on a highway trip. My father has friends in the business that can do the work, and the best prices they found for a quality re-manufactured transmission with any kind of warranty from GM or Chevrolet was in the range of $2500-$2800 for the transmission only, exclusive of installation.

When I found my exact transmission for literally HALF that cost, with a 5 year, 100k warranty... MUCH longer than the ones from GM/Chevy... with shipping included... I thought it seemed to good to be true. Still, it was the obvious choice. I called Best Buy Transmission and worked with a very pleasant guy named Anthony. He double checked my VIN# and made sure we had the right unit, he located the nearest one to my location in NY, and when I told him I needed it by Friday so it could be installed over the weekend, he said 'we can make that happen'.

The shipping company dropped the ball and the transmission wasn't going to reach me by Friday night... so Anthony went to work and spent literally HOURS on Friday working on getting another shipper to get that transmission from Virginia to NY, and by Friday eve at 7:30, he was on the phone with me for the 4th time telling me that they had found and contracted another private party shipper to get me my transmission. He even dealt with the owner of the auto repair shop to make sure he would be there early Saturday morning (when he isn't even open) to receive the unit!

Believe it or not, that transmission actually DID reach NY by 10:30 Friday night! In any case, I can't say I remember the last time any business went to that degree of trouble to come thru and do exactly what they promised. I NEVER write reviews but I am so blown away by that level of customer service that this was the least I could do.

They could have easily told me it was out of their hands, they had my money already, and that it would get there Monday or Tuesday. It was the shipping company's fault, after all. Besides, for such a low price, and great warranty... what could I expect them to do? Well, they went ABOVE AND BEYOND, and the transmission was installed by Monday and I am back on the road.

I will send ANYONE that needs a transmission to Anthony at Best Buy Transmission, period.
