Sincerely,

Review: I used the company Best Choice Movers when moving from New York to North Carolina. Every single thing about this move was a nightmare to say the least. First of all, they told me it would cost a certain price and raised it significantly when picking up my furniture. They were supposed to pick up my furniture on Wednesday and did not show up until Thursday afternoon. When I spoke to the sales woman, [redacted] on the phone and originally gave a deposit, I was told that the delivery of my items would take 4 days, but that it has been taking more like 2 to go to North Carolina. When after a week my furniture STILL did not arrive I became extremely frustrated. It took a total of 9 days for my furniture to get to my new apartment and I had multiple items damaged. Almost every piece of furniture had a scratch or ding on it somewhere. One of my dining room chairs was completely snapped in half. When we tried to file an insurance claim, everyone in the offices stopped returning our calls. We tried for weeks and whenever we would get someone on the phone they would promise us a call back which never happened. When I "lost my cool" with the dispatcher on the phone, he reacted by screaming at me. Every single thing about this company is not what it seems when you first sign up with them. [redacted] and the other representatives work off of commission (I later found out) so when you call to ask about a price and what the details of the move are they will tell you ANYTHING to get you to give them your deposit. The delivery men are hired by contract (so don't work directly for the company) and basically confessed to me that the warehouse where the furniture is held is very hectic. Things are thrown over one another and they said they were not surprised to see our things broken. Do not use this company, you will absolutely regret it.Desired Settlement: I want money back to cover the cost of my furniture that was damaged. I was told that they have insurance for damaged items, and I have not been able to get in contact with anyone at the company that can help me.

Sincerely,

Review: My possesions were picked up on May **, 2013, Agreed to have delivered by 5/**/2013 because I was told they have other deliveries. I was also given an estimate of 800$ and upon pickup it went up to one thousand. They knew exactly what I was bringing because we were in touch for months prior & constantly updating this move. There were no surprises.Expected (guaranteed)delivery date according to signed order/sales document was May **, 2013. I was told my delivery was in Virginia then in the Carolinas but fact is - It was never on their truck. There was a lack of communication on their part for they failed to tell me that my belongings never went out & are still in NY & would not go out until the [redacted] of June. I feel there should be some sort of compensation for the Stress they have caused me.Desired Settlement: I feel that they should reduce the balance due upon delivery of my belongings. They knew that I had a very important date on Saturday June [redacted] (granddaughters graduation from HS) Instead I spent the day stressing about whether they would be coming if I left. They would not answer their phones and not call back when they said they would. This whole experience has been very stressful & emotional. I worried I would never get it & my fathers ashes are in there, I could never replace this.

[redacted] contracted us to have her items picked on on 5/**/2013, with 1st available delivery date for 5/**/12. We don't give any guarantee delivery date , we give a window of up to 15days from date requested.

The client was well aware that the price may change on the day of pickup since, it was over the phone estimate and not an in-home visual.

The client were given wrong information about when the delivery left , and they did let her know that a mistake were made and that her item were not in transit but based on the contract she was still with the 15days window to receive her items.

For more information please feel free to contact me.

Thanks,

Review: I first spoke with [redacted] at Best Choice Moving, Inc. over the phone on Jun **, 2013. I was sent a contract for our move, a price and set the delivery time. The move itself went well. We were charged an additional $401 over our estimated cost. Again, that's okay. It was still comparable to all other quotes we received. The movers arrived on Monday, 6/**/2013, and packed everything up.

I contacted them to confirm drop off date, and did not hear back. The first time I heard back from them was on July [redacted] letting me know that they would be delivering the stuff that day despite me telling them we needed advanced notice so someone would be home.

Once the stuff was delivered, it was damaged. Additionally, our brand new full size bed, leather office chair and 32" flat screen TV were not delivered. I contacted [redacted], was told they may be on another truck and proceeded to wait from July [redacted] through July [redacted]. I was told that they were processing a claim for the damaged and missing items and would follow up the following week.

I repeated to contact [redacted] via email as no phone messages were being returned and no calls were answered.

On 8/**/13, [redacted] reached out in response to my email on 8/12 asking about the claim status. She informed me it takes from 60-90 days for the process to be completed. On 9/**. I reached out again regarding the claim and [redacted] informed me they were still waiting. On 10/**, I reached out again, no answer.

Now, on 11/*/13, I reached out and found that their email addresses have all been turned off, their web site cannot be found and their phone is disconnected. I do not know what to do at this point as there is nobody for me to contact. This whole process has been awful. They stole from me and now I have no course of action to get this resolved.Desired Settlement: I would like the cost of the items that were stolen/missing returned to me. I will take into account depreciation of value, etc. I just want them to follow through with the insurance claim that was going to reimburse the cost.

Sincerely,

Review: I went to Best Choice Movers website to get a moving price, after searching the price for what I wanted moved was right. I received an estimate for $756.25 on 2/**/13, I explained it was a 1 bedroom apartment including a motorcycle. They wanted exact items so I listed a bedroom (bed, ceder chest, desk, bed table, book shelf), about 20 boxes, motorcycle. I was moving from NJ to NC. They said it would be about a week before I would receive my items. The truck came and to my shock, after loading the truck, the came to $1925.00. They said they had to count the bike as extra due to not being able to put items on the bike even though that was included it the item list given in the beginning. I felt I had no choice due to the items were on the truck already and I am a 56yr old single women. I waited and waited and called a few times in which I was told it could take up to 30 days before I would get my items (I only packed enough clothes for a week). I received the items on 3/**/13, in which the motorcycle was piled with boxes on top. I was missing 10 boxes, I had a stained glass lamp which they packed destroyed, dents and scratches on the bike. Things that were wrapped (like a tapestry was no longer wrapped (frame totally destroyed)) I called and was told to send pics which I did, the women, [redacted], told me she would file but it would take up to 6 months to hear anything. She also said she found 2 of my boxes which I still have not received, and they would reimburse me $220.00. I have called, at least 1 to 5 times a week and still have not received my boxes nor the moneys promised. Now I am not even getting a call back and I do not know what else to do. I did mention I was going to file a complaint and they said "oh no don't we will get this worked out". It is 5/**/13 and I cannot get any answers nor my items they said they have. I was over charged (charging extra for the bike even though that was part of the inventory, and then having items put on top of my bike when I was told they could not do that).Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund, for the items lost, damaged and held (for whatever reason). I was not wanting much but they are not willing to help in any way and I feel I have no recourse in this matter.

[redacted] household items were picked on 2/**/13 and not 2/**/13, please see attached file for prove.

Like every customer [redacted] , updated an inventory before her items were picked up and were given an estimate of $756.25, however the the final price increase because the client had double the inventory ( see attached file).

[redacted] received her items on 3/**/2013, which according the the contract within the delivery window of 15-45days.

As far as missing items and damages, we did also explained to [redacted] how the claim process works , that it can take up to 90days before they decides on a settlement and up until this moment, we have not receive a respond as yet. We did locate 2 of the missing boxes , and they will be shipping out to the customer very soon.

$220 was never promised to [redacted], she was told that the claim release on the damages that we saw via pictures that was mailed to the office , should be anywhere from $200-400 ; if she didn't receive up to $400, then the company will pay the difference.

We was always talking to the client , the last conversation we had with the client was between 5/**-5/**.

Please see attached file for inventory/estimate before items were picked up and inventory/final bill on day of pickup.

Thank you,

The release form along with the tracking number for the boxes was emailed to Ms. [redacted] on 7/**/2013.

She did acknowledge that she received the form but was hesitant about signing .

She emailed back with concern about if this money had any connection with her claims.

She was told that this form had no connection to her insurance claim, that her claim was processed and we are still waiting to get back final settlement from the insurance company.

It's been more than 2 weeks this release form was emailed to client and it's the client's responsibility find access to her email if there was a problem with her computer. Ms. [redacted] can access her email from any computer but we will have [redacted] email her the release form again tomorrow.

Review: Where do I begin. My complaint involves, contract issues, delivery issues, and lying issues. On Wednesday July **, 2013, we contract Best Choice movers to come pick up our move since our family was relocating to Florida. The pick address was [redacted]. We found this HORRIBLE company online. they picked up our things and one of their representatives, [redacted], told ME that as soon as we find a place in Florida , to give them a call and our house items will be delivered in 5-10 days. We arrived in Florida on Friday July ** and by the next we found an apartment. On Monday July [redacted] I called the company & asked for our items to be delivered... & thats when the waiting game started. [redacted] said that our items will be at our new place on Monday July [redacted], that day arrived & of course our items did not come. and there was noone in the company picking up my calls. after numerous calls (i can provide copy of my cell bill) I got through by blocking my cell number so they will pick up my calls. Another representative said that our items will arrive Friday the [redacted], then wednesday the [redacted]. Finally our stuff arrived Saturday the [redacted] of July over 30 days after pick up. Our family, my husband & two young boys had been sleeping on the floor all that time. When our items came it was not complete. Our Queen Size mattress did not come , a large box of women's clothing had been stoled and a piece of our boys bed was also lost. WE NEED YOUR HELP OBTAINING THESE ITEMS: QUEEN SIZE MATTRESS, LARGE CLOTHING BOX, WHITE METAL PIECE OF TWIN SIZE BUNK BED. I am not able to find anyone at this office since noone is answering my calls. That company was paid a total of $2,250( I can provide receipt). These people should out of business, God knows hoe many people have been scammed by these lying thieves. Please HELPDesired Settlement: If my queen size mattress, large clothing box and metal bunk bed piece is not found we need to buy this items again. A new good quality queen size mattress ranges from $399-799 dollars. The clothing items in that box goes beyond $1500 since it had all of my working clothes, suites, & dresses. without the piece of the bunk bed , we need to buy it again & it cost $200 in Ikea. Most Importantly, this company should be closed so that they will never scam & steal from anyone again. CLOSE IT!

Review: Hello, I'm copying my most recent communication with the company. They've had over 2 weeks to get back to me and they have said their manager will speak with me, but he hasn't. Hi, I received my items on Monday evening. I'm forwarding you the bills for my hotel stay as well as photos of the damage done to my property, because it wasn't packaged properly. Please send me a check with the amount below to compensate me. 1) I believe I should have all my hotel bills paid in full as I stayed there because I had no furniture, $613.76 2) With regard to the damaged property, the bed and the other wooden pieces don't have very noticeable damage so it's fine, but the bedside table is very damaged and I think that should be replaced, I've attached a link to where I bought it from, $399 http[redacted]/ 3) Lastly given the delivery was 8 days late, I was inconvenienced and slept in my car the nights when there were no rooms available in the hotel, and because I was given a quote of $800-900 by phone but ended up having to pay $2166.25 after everything was packed up, I believe I should get back half of the amount I paid you, $1083. The total comes to $2095.76 I have also reached out to prior clients of yours who were similarly dissatisfied by your service in terms of damaged property, inaccurate quotes, late deliveries, and poor communication. I can't speak for them, but I am prepared to file suit against you and involve the Revdex.com if you are not prepared to compensate me. My lawyer is currently reviewing the paperwork, but I am happy to handle this without the court's involvement for the sake of convenience on both our parts and unnecessary legal fees on your part. I am happy to discuss this by phone with you or your manager if necessary. Regards, [redacted], [redacted] mobile: ###-###-#### email:[redacted]Desired Settlement: $2095.76 settlement to account for my expenses

First I would like to say that

we never gave [redacted], a guarantee delivery date.

Based on the contract, delivery

window is 15-30days, the client items were picked up 6/**/2013 and was

delivered 8 days later, which is still within the delivery window

Price increase because there was an increase the number of

items as well as CF.

As far as the damages the

client needs to take pictures and mail it to the address on the contract.

Once we receive those picture , we will start the process, the process takes

30-90days.

Please see attached file with

Sincerely,

Review: I would like to report to you the fraud, theft and harassment my family and I have been subjected to by the moving company - Best Choice Movers, Inc. ([redacted] ; Phone # ###-###-#### & ###-###-####; USDOT: [redacted]; MC: [redacted]). This complaint is in regards to our move from Massachusetts to Maryland. The move started on 8/**/2013 in MA and ended on 9/**/2013 in MD. 1. We were provided an initial quote of $2,040. After loading half of our goods/boxes onto the truck, the movers said that it would cost us around $8,000. After negotiating, they agreed to $4,425 to load our remaining goods. (In the process the movers discarded some of our boxes, beds, furniture). 2. At the time of the delivery, the driver of the moving truck called us at 8pm in the night and said that they would deliver our goods anytime after midnight. The driver/moving team blatantly demanded a tip of $1000 to assemble back our furniture (sofas / beds / etc). When we refused to pay them the $1000 off-the-books, they repeatedly abused us using offensive and vulgar language. We had to call the cops in to rescue us. The movers just dumped our goods in the foyer and living room area on the 1st floor of our house with out re-assembling any of our furniture. Per the written contract, the movers were to re-assemble our furniture (sofas / beds) in the appropriate rooms.3. Upon delivery, to our horror, we noticed that our new 42 inch LED TV, a 30 inch Samsonite case with expensive clothes, silverware and other expensive items and two boxes containing kitchen items (blender, juice maker, ....) were missing. We checked the inventory with the movers and had the driver sign-off on our invoices regarding the missing stuff. Also, our sofas and beds/mattresses were damaged and were heavily soiled.4. On contacting Best Choice Movers office, the supervisor arrogantly said that the stuff that was lost or damaged was not their business anymore. Also, they did not explain why the difference in quotes.Desired Settlement: (i) Need compensation for the lost / discarded / damaged goods and property, the estimated value of which is $9,800. (ii) Refund of the overcharged amount. (The initial quote was $2,040 and the final amount charged was $4,425, which is more than 110% of initial quote).

Sincerely,

Review: This is the second complaint with Revdex.com against Choice Movers. I was told by the company and by the representative of Revdex.com that the company would reimburse me $250, I have been waiting for the appropriate paper work and having requesting this at least half a dozen times, I have received no response. Also they were to send in insurance for coverage on damaged and broken items I received in my delivery, I have asked for a date this was filed, again no response. I have waited 6 months and sent an email the beginning of this week but again no response.Desired Settlement: I would like a response to my requests and would like to know when will the insurance claim be paid, and the reimbursement of the $250 promised.

Sincerely,

Review: I hired the company to move my furniture from NY to FL. They were 3 hours late to pick up my furniture. They over charged me on the pick up date. The original quote was for $983 when they picked up my things the bill went up almost double that. They don't answer phone or email. Then when my furniture arrived they only sent one delivery person who had an attitude and destroyed my furniture. My leather sofa was sliced with a box cutter. My bed frame has a crack in it my media table has a broken leg. When I called them to complain they said to mail in the pictures and they would file the claim with their insurance company. I have made several attempts to contact them via phone and email and months of them ignoring me and claiming they have not yet heard from their insurance company. I still have no resolution as to when they will reimbursing me for the damages done to my furniture. I have been very upset and I am at their mercy.Desired Settlement: I want to be reimbursed the amount of the over charge as well as the damages done to my furniture. Their treatment is unacceptable and they should be fined for the way they treat their customers. They should not be business they steal from honest people and justify it by tricking their customers its one price and then raising it when they have you cornered.

Consumer

Response:

At this time, I have not been contacted by Best Choice Moving Inc. regarding complaint ID [redacted].

My pictures were sent back to me with nothing else in the envelope other than a big WTF written in the front of the envelope. They have no intention on reaching resolution. This is very upsetting. They do not care and should not be in business. They are horrible and should have their license revoked. A business that doesn't follow through and steals from their customers should not have the right to be in business. I am looking for a lawyer to pursue legal action as they don't care how they treat others.

Review: hired best choice movers inc to move my household belongings from [redacted] to [redacted]. price quoted with binding contract was $1262.25 when movers got to house packed half of belongings on truck and told me I needed to pay more. pressured me into paying more and we had to leave belongings behind because I wouldn't pay the whole fee. left behind queen bed set.tv stand, dressers, bikes and stove, bookcase all were on the binding contract but movers would not take unless I paid even more gave them total of $1430 on day of move and they say I still owe 570 which I should not. In the meantime the truck crashed and we have not gotten our belongings. I call and get run around [redacted] assures me I will get my stuff and will not to pay anymore I asked for it in writing he told my husband and myself he sent me a email stating there will me no further charges and he has not done this. I am living in North Carolina with 2 small kids no furniture, no clothes, no nothing I have had to start purchacing items for daily living pots pans ,towels, clothes etc this is getting very expensive. I get no answers from [redacted] but lies I need my belongings and compensation from best choice movers. He has also stated we are coverd for full replacement and not the 60 cents a pound in which I am sure is a lie to shut us up.Desired Settlement: I want my belongings without having to pay any more fees and in a timely manner. I want a refund for the extra charges that was above the binding contract and for the belongings I had to leave behind and purchaches I have had to make.

Business

Response:

To Whom It May Concern:

As the customer stated , she did contract Best Choice Movers to pickup her household belonging on on 6/**/2013 and was given a binding estimate , it was not a flat price. The price increase because there was more CF (cubic feet).

The truck got into an accident and [redacted] was notify about the accident and [redacted] was in constant contact with the client with updates. The client was aware that the company was waiting on the insurance to settle payments with the towing company before any access to the truck.

No one told [redacted] that she will have no other charges once she gets her delivery, she was told that there will be damages to her belongings , because of severe damages to the truck during the accident, and she will have to process a claim with insurance company.

The client was also given another option , where she can pick her belongs up herself and get full refund but she will need to sign a release form, then the money will be deposit back into her account. The customer wanted the money to be back in her account before she sign the release form and that is not company policy.

Please feel free to contact me for more information

Response:

At this time, I have not been contacted by Best Choice Moving Inc. regarding complaint ID [redacted]. Best Choice moving did not finish moving my belongings and have not refunded my money. I can not reach them I leave messages and now response.

Sincerely,

Review: April ** 2013: I put a moving bid online that multiple moving companies responded to, including a representative from Best Choice. They submitted the lowest price and when I spoke to the Best Choice representative, [redacted], and described what I needed, he assured me that all of the terms were acceptable, the the company would definitely be able to accommodate the move dates without any issues and that my price was binding. At his suggestion, I followed up with the e-mailed bid offer with a paragraph of contractual language reiterating what we had discussed and the exact terms of the moving service that would be provided and for which I was paying. [redacted] again reassured me that this was a binding contract the company would honor. Terms of the move: I agreed to pay $900 for all the things in my room to be moved from Boston, MA to Minneapolis, MN. The pick-up was scheduled for either June [redacted] or [redacted] and the drop-off was scheduled for July [redacted] or [redacted], 2013. Free storage for the three week period in-between pick-up and delivery was offered by the company and similarly built into the contract. The one-day flexibility was included at [redacted]'s request and the contract stipulated a 48 hour notification window in advance to specify which exact date would be workable. My credit was charged in full in advance of the move. Pick-up - June [redacted]: I sent several e-mails and called the company in advance of the pick-up to prompt them to provide me with the actual date and time. However, the 48 hour window passed and still no notice was given. Finally, I was told that someone would come on June [redacted] - after my apartment lease expired - because the wrong date had been mistakenly written on their driver's form. After much anguish, the date of pick-up was moved back up to June [redacted] and I was told the driver would be arriving in the morning at around 1 pm. The movers finally arrived ~6 hours late and when they came up to the apartment, they demanded an additional $700 to move my things despite the fact that my boxes were all within the size / number agreements of the original contract. I was told that my contract was just a "binding estimate" and that if I did not sign a NEW contract with new terms, that the movers would leave immediately and I would be stranded. They also told me that because [redacted] was no longer employed by Best Choice, they did not have to honor the agreement. In a desperate situation, I reluctantly signed the new contract under this threat. The movers asked that I provide them with a 3 day window for delivery and so I agreed that my things could be delivered between July [redacted] and July [redacted]. There was small print in the contract about a delay of up to an additional month past delivery which I protested and the driver told me not to worry that my things would be delivered in the early July window I specified. Again, I was very cautious / skeptical, but backed into a corner by having to be out of that apartment THAT DAY. Prior to Delivery (June / July 2013): I was traveling abroad for three weeks but sent multiple e-mails and made international calls to the company to try to once again confirm my delivery date and protest the extra charge which was a clear violation of my original contract. Despite multiple contact attempts through the website, phone number, and only e-mail I had for the company - I received no reply. I finally landed back in the United States from Thailand on July [redacted] and drove for 20 hours to Minnesota to race the movers to my house in case they chose the earlier date on the three-day range for delivery. When I finally arrived in Minnesota, I also finally got through to the Best Choice operator who told me that my things were delayed and would not be delivered for another couple of weeks. I was obviously very upset but the operator was incredibly dismissive of my concerns and told me that the delay was built into the NEW contract I had signed and that she didn't know when my things would actually be delivered but would let me know when a date could be confirmed. Living without my things: Two weeks went by without any notice from Best Choice and I suffered without a bed, kitchen supplies, clothing, or any of my furniture, medication, etc. I only had a couple of shirts / shorts from my travel in Thailand and having started a new job immediately after my move, had to purchase a whole new professional wardrobe. It was frustrating, humiliating, and put plainly, awful. July ** 2013: On Tuesday July [redacted] I was told that my things were not on the east coast waiting for transport, as I was led to believe, but instead they were in some warehouse in Minnesota. I was told that an envelope with the key and all the information would be overnighted to me. Since I was working in Chicago during this week, through Friday, I gave the address where I was staying. I called and e-mailed every day to follow-up since nothing came on Wednesday, or Thursday, or Friday. On Friday I again broke through to the operator who told me that the envelope had JUST been mailed (on Friday). I explained that I was going back to my apartment in Minneapolis so that the Chicago address no longer applied and I had been calling and e-mailing without response all week. I was told that this was not her problem and that "overnight" obviously didn't mean the next day. July ** 2013: The envelope arrived in Chicago on Tuesday July ** and I paid to have it sent to my Minneapolis apartment. It contained an address to a Minneapolis storage facility with a passcode and two locks. I spoke to Best Choice movers again who told me that they acknowledged that mistakes were made but now I had to independently pay for the storage facility and hire new movers to get my things from the storage facility to my apartment. This was ridiculous and just further proof of the gross negligence and abuse that this company considers standard business practice. I hired movers for August [redacted] (earliest date possible given short notice), paid for the storage (trying not to cry on the phone), and finally got all of my things back more than THREE WEEKS after the original delivery date and having spent hundreds of dollars more than I had originally budgeted. State of my things: Not only were boxes missing, but it looks like the original movers left my boxes out in the rain. They were soaked through, falling apart, and things like bedding were damp, molding, and had to be thrown away. This was one of the most stressful months of my life and the worst moving experience I can possibly imagine. If it would help, I am happy to share copies of the back-and-forth e-mail exchange with this company along with the original e-mailed contract.Desired Settlement: Not only do I want a full refund of all of the money I spent with Best Choice Movers, I also want to be reimbursed for the storage fees I paid, as well as the second moving company I had to hire to finally deliver my things. Additionally, I want to be compensated for the HUGE inconvenience (putting it mildly) of being without a bed, clothing, or any of my things for over 3 weeks past the agreed upon delivery date.

Sincerely,

Review: We hired this moving company on July *, 2013 to move us from New York to Arizona. They verbally told us the move would take 7-10 days and had written in the contract 15-30. It has now been 43 days and the company is not answering our calls or emails regarding the whereabouts of our belongings. Each time we do get a person on the phone they lie to us or give us completely different answers each time. 4 of our boxes have also ended up in a completely different state and we only found out because our old address was inside a box and the people who received the box sought us out.Desired Settlement: We need our belongings as soon as possible.

Review: Best Choice Movers were hired to move furniture from Lake Grove, NY to Charlotte, NC for pick up on Friday, 5/*. I took the day off from work to drive there on Thursday, 5/*. I received a call late that day telling me the truck broke down and they would not be there to pick up until Saturday, 5/*. They told me they would be there before noon on Saturday and did not arrive until 4:30 p.m. I have now lost a day and a half pay from my job. Upon completion of loading the truck on Saturday, I find the estimate which I was told to sign and mail back the week before to "[redacted]", had now doubled. I ended up having to give them a PERSONAL CHECK for $1,353.00 with a balance of $580.00 to be paid upon delivery. They would not accept a credit card as they know a credit card charge can be disputed. They now have my money AND my furniture. I get a call a couple of days later telling me the driver lost my personal check!!! I told them I now need to cancel this and they agreed. However, now they want me to go deposit the money at their bank in their account. I did not do this. I went and bought 2 money orders (one for $1000.00 and the other for $353.00) and priority mailed them to [redacted] which she confirmed receipt of. I then find out they FOUND my personal check! Upon that phone call confirming receipt of my money orders, I asked that they mail my personal check back to me as it was not used and it should be in my possession. I was told by [redacted], I don't know where it is right now, I will look into it and get back to you. I heard nothing from anyone. I followed up and she said she would put it in the mail to me, I never received it. I emailed her several times after that asking where the check is?......no response. I had called Best Choice throughout my whole ordeal and when leaving voicemails, got no returned calls. I only spoke to [redacted], who is the "customer service rep". She doesn't stop talking for a second to let you speak. She is extremely rude and when I asked If I could please speak SHE JUST CONTINUES TO TALK, TALK, TALK OVER YOU! I asked to speak to the owner. No such person. I got a [redacted], or [redacted] or [redacted] who is a manager/supervisor? I don't know but this person followed the same procedure as [redacted] where they talked over me and would NOT let me speak. [redacted] was the NASTIEST person I have ever spoken to. I could not understand this person due to his or her accent (I think it is a male but I am still not sure). When I told him/her I could not understand their English, I was told it was because I am stupid!!! I told him/her I needed my personal check returned to me. I told him they were paid by money orders and that my personal check was not used as payment due to their negligence and I want that in my possession. He refused. I called the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and told them my ordeal with Best Choice Moving. The lady advised that having gone through all this, I need to tell them to have the truck weighed at the weigh station because she felt too many games were being played. [redacted] refused to let the driver do this. Since I never received my personal check back, my bank advised me to report this incident to the IRS, Department of Consumer Affairs, FMCSA and the Revdex.com (which of course I am doing now) even though I already know they are not an accredited Revdex.com Business and they have a "F" rating. For your info, if you search their name on the internet, they will also appear in several reports on [redacted]. I also question why they have 3 different business addresses with the same phone number. They are: [redacted]; [redacted] and [redacted]. All have the phone # ###-###-####.Desired Settlement: They have my personal check which is a financial document stating my and my wife's name, address, bank account information and original signature for no reason at all because once they lost it, they were paid via money orders. This is now withholding personal property which does not belong to them and is now classified as theft for refusing to return it. They are red flagged for fraud alert on my accounts and I will be sending full reports with their names to the organizations mentioned above. These are the most inappropriate and unacceptable people to be handling a business and I feel they should be removed. I want my check returned to me. That is the outcome I want and I want it immediately.

To Whom It May Concern:

[redacted] did have a schedule pickup date for 5/*/2013, but we were unable to make that date and we did inform him a day before. The price change because his items took up more space and he had more items than what was stated on the list. The contract clearly states that the price was based on only items listed. The contract clearly states that on the day of pickup payment method accepted is Cash, Money Order, Person Check or bank check. The driver couldn't locate the customer check and the customer was notify right away to put a stop payment. We did locate the check few days after and we also notify the client that we found his check and he did request to mail it out to him and we will have that mailed out as soon as possible. For more information please feel free to contact me

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved. However, the envelope (which I have kept) is post office stamped July ** as the date mailed NOT July [redacted]. I received the check on Monday, July[redacted]. Two weeks went by since "[redacted]" advised she would mail this. Also, I asked that they priority mail it to me and they did not. Even though this complaint is now closed with the Revdex.com, I did file a report with all the agencies listed in my original complaint and therefore, Best Choice Moving will continue to be monitored for possible fraudulent business due to their poor record. In the meantime, I thank the Revdex.com for their successful intermediary help.

Sincerely,

Review: The company collected my furniture and other items in Connecticut on September [redacted] with a verbal agreement that the goods would be delivered on September [redacted]. After several calls they referred me to the small print which states it wouldn't be delivered for 15-30 days. It's now October [redacted] and I have made calls several times each week that either go unanswered, messages not returned or they promise a date that is never kept. I know hear that they have been sold which may account for why the phone line goes dead when I call it.Desired Settlement: I would like my goods delivered or alternatively I will travel to collect them if they let me know where.

Sincerely,

Review: We selected a furniture mover; New England Movers via [redacted]. Their agent [redacted] contacted us with a quote through email and phone. The quote was for $1,338.79 and delivery would be 3-5 business days. The price was based on weight (2,500 lbs) per [redacted]. The move is for my mother who is 90 years old and we are relocating her from Kenmore, NY down to Marietta, GA. The movers were scheduled to show up on June [redacted] between 8-9 am but did not arrive. I called [redacted] and she informed us that the truck had broken down and they needed to send another one. I had already booked 2 airline tickets to fly me and my Mom to Atlanta that night but [redacted] promised they would be there before 1 pm. They never showed so I asked a family friend to wait with the furniture. They did not arrive until the afternoon of June [redacted] at which time they told us it would now cost $2,800. The said it is based on cubic feet not weight. [redacted] told me not to worry and that she is the owner of New England Movers and will straighten it out later. On 6/** I called [redacted] again and she told me that everything is fine and not to call over to the New England Movers office since there was a death in the family and nobody was in. I got suspicious and called anyway. I quickly discovered that [redacted] no longer worked there, is not the owner and they did not make the pick-up of my Mothers things. They were scheduled but it was cancelled. I explained what had happened and the office manager told me that [redacted] had called him asking to receive her commission for my move but they would not pay it since she was no longer employed there. New England Movers best guess is that [redacted] cancelled the job and gave it to her new employer, Best Choice Movers. Best Choice Movers then sub-contracted Apollo Van Lines to make the pickup. On 6/** I received a call from Best Choice Movers ([redacted]) that the truck rolled 3 times and the driver was critically injured in [redacted], [redacted]. I askDesired Settlement: Best Choice owes me $650 (down payment for moving services) plus the cost of damaged goods and must give me back my Mother's belongings. I do not want any of our belongings to end up in a Best Choice facility since we are not trusting that we will get them back. They are now in a secured area still on the truck in the towing company lot.

To Who It May Concern:

First, New England Movers has nothing to do with Best choice Movers.

Second the customer contracted New England Movers , who was given an estimated price for $1338.79 by his sales Representative [redacted] who is now working for best Choice Movers.

On the day of is pickup which at the time he was still under contract with New England Movers, when the movers arrive they changed the price on the customer and he decided to cancel on the spot. He then called back his sales person ( [redacted]) but were no longer with New England Movers and was already just started working with Best Choice Movers. He asks if the movers from (New England Movers) can come back and they said no and cancel the move.

[redacted] then gave him a price under Best choice Movers for $2600 since she was no longer with New England Movers, he agreed to the price and at last minute the dispatch send out a crew to his place.

The client items were picked up as schedule and was in transit for delivery by we did have an accident with that truck and it's still in the process of going through insurance before we can have any access to the truck.

At this point we are waiting on the insurance company before we can come to any type of settlement

Thanks,

[redacted].

To whom It May Concern,

First I would like to say, the other four families that are involved in the accident are not relevant to your complaint, they were well aware of the company that was moving their belongs as much has [redacted].

Second, it is not mandatory by the DOT to be a member of AMSA.

The truck with your belonging got into an accident, accident happen and the company is doing their best to deal with the problem.

The company has full coverage with cargo insurance which will cover for any loss or damages to [redacted]'s belongs due to the accident.

Revdex.com cannot resolve the problem with this accident. We are in contact with the client about any updates on his belongs.

For more information please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,

Review: I recently moved from [redacted], NY to [redacted], AZ. Everything I own was packed up and picked up by Best Choice on July [redacted] with a contract guaranteeing that it would arrive at my new apartment within 15-30 days. Today is September [redacted] and I still have NOTHING. In the last few weeks I've been told that the driver had reached Arizona, but was arrested for not having insurance, along with a handful of other offenses. His truck was detained by the DOT and I have had to speak with law enforcement daily about getting my belongings. When the driver was released and instructed to complete his deliveries, someone from the Best Choice office in NY called and yelled at me demanding that I now had to pre-pay the remaining balance by directly wiring money into the driver's personal account (instead of paying in cash which the contract stated. Not to mention the contract was already void since it has been 50 days). I've been told on multiple occasions that the delivery is about to be made and have left work only to be stood up. The company told me not to get the police involved which I found incredibly strange so I reached out again to the authorities.Desired Settlement: I would LOVE for my belongings to be delivered. I have no idea where they are, what condition they are in, or if anything has been lost of stolen along the way since it came across the country and has been being driven around by an angry employee. I've had to re-purchase a ton of items since moving here since I have no idea when my own belongings will arrive. It has been a terrible situation that has cost me time at work and money on new necessities.
