I spoke with Mr. [redacted]’s wife on May 8th and forwarded several photos of the trailer in question, along with my opinion of what could’ve caused the issue to the plant.  I even consulted with our mechanic as to ensure my opinion that the trailer appeared to have been significantly overloaded/misused was indeed an appropriate observation, and had them speak to his wife.  I made clear my opinion as to what caused the problem at that time, but did offer to have the plant take a look at photos of the damage.  While the trailer in question is a fairly light duty trailer, we have not had a failure to date.  The plant suggested we offer a heavier duty replacement trailer at a discount as goodwill to the customer, which we did.  I spoke to Mr. [redacted] by p[redacted] and he responded he would not be buying another Sure Trac.  Further, the trailer was out of warranty, which I did not make mention to the customer, nor do I use it as an excuse to not try and help the customer in an equitable manner towards a warranty claim or replacement product that would better serve his needs.  I am also not sure how the customer could use the trailer for his stated purpose as the trailer is a tilt, meaning the trailer would be flat after loading the first piece of equipment (gravity would prevent the second quad from being loaded in a safe and intended manner).  It was also of my opinion that the weight required to damage the trailer to that extent would have to be well in excess of what 2 quads could have weighed.  Please review the attached pictures (with straight edge for visual reference) to form your own observation, along with a before photo of what the trailer looks like new.

I am rejecting this response because:I have no desire to buy a bigger trailer from them.

Review: I purchased a brand new 7x16 enclosed cargo trailer from Best Choice Trailers with the 'upgrade' to the 'basic' model of: E-tracking, 8-ply tires (all 4 attached) from the standard 6-ply, and 8-ply spare tire. Upon delivery of me picking up from site; the E-tracking had been installed as promised and the spare tire had been mounted but to my surprise when my father inspected the tires (4 attached and the spare), he found all 5 tires were 6-ply. The upgrade for the 4 attached tires from 6-ply to 8-ply was $45 each ($180 total) and the spare upgrade was $125. Original pick up date was 2-23-13. The error was noted by my father 3-26-13. This trailer was making a trip from [redacted] to [redacted] and I was unavailable to contact [redacted] until 4-2-13 (also given the holiday weekend). On the phone he requested that I send a picture message to him and then I would call him back. After I sent the picture and attempted to call him back, he would not answer- I left a voicemail and attempted again 4-3-13 to call both his cell and office number, again leaving messages. To which I still have to hear back from him. All together I am 'out' $305. I feel as if he took advantage of me being a female that does not know any better; it is unfortunate this has happened and reflects very poorly on his character. I'm sure his excuse would be he is busy within his successful business, but he is potentially 'smuggling' money out of other customers hoping to get what they paid for.Desired Settlement: $305 plus tax ($18.30) refunded for upgrades not delivered upon
