I never give a year warrantyyears at the mostthe customer had a leak and thought it was the roofshe never called meshe lost my informationshe hired some fly by night that went to her house and screwed a single ply membrane right over the shingles near the bottom edgeit was in the
field area and that never leakshe screwed over screws all around a 3xfoot piece of membrane right through the new shinglesthat was ugly and not any way to repair shinglesshe called me one day and said she found my invoiceI drove down there right away with a helper who is also a witnessmy invoice says that the roof warranty is null and void if anyone other than myself tampers with my roofafter seeing what the other guy did, I tried to tell her that she got ripped offshe barely can speak EnglishI told her he screwed up her roof and ruined her warrantyI took pictures and documented everythingI also told her I would remove the white membrane he screwed through the roof and would buy shingles and repair it so it would not look so stupid and unprofessionalI then inspected the whole area and water tested the section for over two hours on two separate days and not a drop came in anywhereI tried to tell her that the stains all over her old wood siding was causing the leakshe kept screaming at me and I kept trying to tell her that the warranty was null and void because she hired someone else to work on the roof that wasn't even leakingit is not my fault she lost the contract and found it laterI told her over and over that her old wood siding had a ton of water stains and she needed to install siding over that north sectionshe finally didafter the warranty being null and void, I still spent two full days out there after she made the complaintif I would have known that, I never would have tried to help herI am a very fair manmy roof was not leaking and all she did was yell at meshe can hardly understand what I tried to tell hershe even kept turning off the hose when I was trying to water test the roofI had to yell at her and tell her to leave the hose on so I could test the areas that leakedand, the water was leaking in by the edge where the siding was so badif I end up with a complaint on my file because of her, I will be very amazedlike I said, she lost my paperwork, made a complaint against me, and then found my number, and I still helped her clean up the mess that the guy she hired screwed upshe finally had her old wood, water stained siding fixed with new vinyl siding up where the leak was and when I drive by her house I can see that the problem was not the roofshe wasted my time and I was still a nice guy and paid a helper to work with me checking out the entire roofWOWThat's all I have to say about that
