Mr***'s vehicle was towed into our facility and the reason it was towed in was it was a "NO START" - a non-running vehicleUpon inspection of his vehicle we immediately noticed that the engine had no oil in it and it was ceasedIn addition, the leak didn't just start it appeared to be leaking oil for a prolonged period of timeOf course, due to the engine being ceased, there was no possible way for us to start at this time, he needed to have his engine replaced and he was advised of this and authorized the repairOnce we replaced the engine and able to get the car running we found that he was leaking oil from the oil cooler line profuselyThis was undetectable up until this point as you needed to have the car running and the oil being distributedThis leak is what caused his engine to ceaseThe oil cooler line needed to be replaced, unfortunately this part was on backorder from the dealer, and we could not release the vehicle without changing this part and testing as this would have caused damage to the replacement engineOnce we got the part in and it was installed and tested, we literally drove the vehicle to the customer for deliveryThe location we drove the car to is approximately highway miles away from our facilityThe car ran fine, if there were any issues this vehicle would have never made it that distance away and it would have shown signs of problems at this pointMr [redacted] called me and told me his check engine light was on, that his transmission was having issues, his brakes were making noise and his convertible top didn't workWhen this vehicle initially came in it was a messI have photos of his brakes showing they were rotted which is not due to any of the services performed on his vehicle but from wear and tearWe never touched his convertible top or his transmission as there is no reason toIn a good faith effort and even though the work performed had nothing to do with all of his other issues as they were pre-existing, we took care of the following at no charge for labor but he was responsible for parts: replace and rebuild transmission, replace right side caliper, replace shift cable, replace front brake pads, replace shift cableThe items that he was not charged for parts/supplies or labor are Brake Fluid Flush, Torque Converter and Trans Speed SensorsI believe that every good faith effort in regards to this vehicle was madeUnfortunately, for us we do not know how the vehicle ran prior to it being brought in as it was a "NO START”

I am rejecting this response because: the vehicle runs worse then it did prior to the service from Five Star AutoIt runs extremely roughIt has little accelerationThe convertible features of the vehicle does not work since the auto being serviced thereThe convertible top worked up until the serviceIt was down the day the vehicle was towed to the service stationThe cruise control refuses to function anymoreThe reverse brake backup lights do not come on when the vehicle is reversingThe transmission which they serviced drops out of operating randomlyThey kept the vehicle for days, and I regret very much having them service my vehicleI had called times upon receiving the car back, and never got a return callI am extremely unhappy with the service, the lack of concern for my complaints, and the overall handling of this matterThey acted like they did me a favor when in reality they made the vehicle, and my quality of life much worse as I cannot trust the vehicle operating or potentially breaking down with either from the terrible engine operational condition, or the transmissionBecoming unengagedThe service was horrendous! I the worst I had ever dealt with!

Mr. [redacted]'s vehicle was towed into our facility and the reason it was towed in was it was a "NO START" - a non-running vehicle. Upon inspection of his vehicle we immediately noticed that the engine had no oil in it and it was ceased. In addition, the leak didn't just start it appeared to be leaking...

oil for a prolonged period of time. Of course, due to the engine being ceased, there was no possible way for us to start at this time, he needed to have his engine replaced and he was advised of this and authorized the repair. Once we replaced the engine and able to get the car running we found that he was leaking oil from the oil cooler line profusely. This was undetectable up until this point as you needed to have the car running and the oil being distributed. This leak is what caused his engine to cease. The oil cooler line needed to be replaced, unfortunately this part was on backorder from the dealer, and we could not release the vehicle without changing this part and testing as this would have caused damage to the replacement engine. Once we got the part in and it was installed and tested, we literally drove the vehicle to the customer for delivery. The location we drove the car to is approximately 25 highway miles away from our facility. The car ran fine, if there were any issues this vehicle would have never made it that distance away and it would have shown signs of problems at this point. Mr. [redacted] called me and told me his check engine light was on, that his transmission was having issues, his brakes were making noise and his convertible top didn't work. When this vehicle initially came in it was a mess. I have photos of his brakes showing they were rotted which is not due to any of the services performed on his vehicle but from wear and tear. We never touched his convertible top or his transmission as there is no reason to. In a good faith effort and even though the work performed had nothing to do with all of his other issues as they were pre-existing, we took care of the following at no charge for labor but he was responsible for parts: replace and rebuild transmission, replace right side caliper, replace shift cable, replace front brake pads, replace shift cable. The items that he was not charged for parts/supplies or labor are Brake Fluid Flush, Torque Converter and Trans Speed Sensors. I believe that every good faith effort in regards to this vehicle was made. Unfortunately, for us we do not know how the vehicle ran prior to it being brought in as it was a "NO START”.
