Review: We contracted with this company to remove poison ivy from a large tree and some surrounding areas in order to keep my two year old son safe. They have not fulfilled their contract and refuse to do so.They said that they would use a 40' ladder to cut remove the poison ivy from the tree and also will kill the roots so that it doesn't grow back. Immediately upon starting the work the workers complained that this was a very severe case. They cut the vines about 8' off the ground and pulled the roots out of the ground where they were able to. We expressed our concerns over the remaining poison ivy in the tree but were assured that it wouldn't be a problem. Now the poison ivy vine is dying and leaves are falling everywhere in my backyard. It is unsafe for my son or any member of my family to use the backyard, including one family member who is [redacted] and gets a life threatening systemic reaction when he comes in contact. This company has put my entire family at risk. The contract clearly states "Should poison ivy tree trunk vines removal form a portion of the removal work being contracted for, it will take place from the base of the trunk measured at ground level upwards to a minimum height of ten (10) feet". There were branches of poison ivy within reach on the standard 40' ladder that they used, in fact most of the leaves now falling everywhere are approximately 15' - 20' from the base, yet they chose not to do a complete job and refused to remove the poison ivy that has now falling everywhere in my backyard. If I had known that they would put us in worse shape than prior to hiring them, I would have removed the tree instead.Desired Settlement: They should immediately come to the property and clean up all of the poison ivy debris. Also they should clean with organic materials any surface coming in contact with the poison ivy that is within the usable space of the backyard so that my family can feel safe. The poison ivy is now everywhere and requires a diligence in order to be fully removed. Or they should immediately refund the full price so I can pay someone else to do it. Time is of the essence.
