This hotel should not be open! I arrived and first saw the dalapitated sign...as I parked I noticed it read "construction discounts" ...still not too concerned I proceed with my year old As we check in I inquire as to why it seems vacant..it was eerily silent except for a loud beeping soundit was very dark and the lobby was warm...still I thought perhaps the heat of the day affected the lobby temp We load our cart and as we are walking in a guy of the street asks if I need help, no Thankyou I replied, he enters and greets the hotel employee asking "man, can I get a computer up in here today" she said yes but they aren't working, he adds some explicit as they continue their conversation while I try to scoot my son away quickly We head to the room and pass a stinch in the hall that was a mop bucket full of fabuloso, the most putrid smell of cheap cleaning materials made...we enter the room to see sheets dangling below a sloppily made bed, goop dripping down the door and sliding doors that are MISSING the lock! What? Now I don't feel safe in the silent, vacant, dark, hot and broken lock hotelI drag our luggage cart back down Irritated at this point I ask, "Do vagrants often come in of the streets to use your computer? " She appeared surprised by my inquiry and said, no She books another room on the 2nd floor..we drag out cart up, as we are exciting the elevator a couple, definitely meth users are entering the elevator...more red flags and now I'm feeling really uncomfortable..I say to my son "buddy we may just stay in our room" he said"Okay"...we enter to find a sweltering room with a fan..I call down to inquire, "no the ac doesn't work on "that side" I can get you another room "if that is a problem" WHAT? OF COURSE IT'S A PROBLEM! Now I've wasted an hour and my poor child just wanted to swim in what appeared to be an amazing pool ?? She apologizes and says I have more room if this doesnt work I have nothing.I ask how can a seemingly vacant hotel have only option left? She called it the tower..so up we go to the 4th floor..the stinch if cigarette smoke was OVERWHELMING but still I pressed on as hours on the road had me feeling a bit more graciousI just wanted rest We enter the room, it's dark and musty the furniture is in poor condition..then I hear banging on a door in the hall, someone is shouting, "what are you guys doing in there?" I step out to see kids are bicycles a baby in a stroller as mom stands there waiting for whomever..he steps out and bends over to tend to the baby as I'm subjected to his lack of belting Final straw..I'm done and an hour and a half after this nightmare ends we move to another town and finally get settled in at p.m
