So this customer did make a warranty claim, and now it is a totally different story then given to us. First I will discuss the difference in his stories given....

1. It was claimed that a shop by the name of All Pro was installing this engine.
2. He never claimed to be a certified mechanic, not even once, which he would have never claimed since he was not the person that he claimed to install it.
3. The warranty was not voided due to replacement of seals. The warranty was void because the motor was dismantled and brought to us in a box. Parts that were removed were : oil pump, cam gear, timing belt, Harmonic balancer, crank gear, timing belt tensioner, timing belt idler pulley timing belt covers (they were also missing) oil pan was missing half of the bolts, valve covers was loose and not bolted on.
The true reason the warranty was voided was because the motor was returned in pieces, and was dismantled, not because of seals. The customer called us 2 days before arriving to our shop with the engine, claiming that a shop by the name of All-Pro was installing the engine, and they had removed the oil pan and noticed minor metal shavings in the oil, and also removed the valve cover stating it was "gunky". At this time we asked was anything else done to the engine or was the engine ever installed at all, the answer was "No, we haven't done anything else, and the mechanic does not feel comfortable installing" At this point we said no problem, go ahead and bring it back for inspection and we will start to the warranty claim. Nothing else was mentioned about motor being dismantled. Again, it was stated that a mechanic shop was installing this, which under our warranty policy it must be installed by a mechanic shop that is certified to install such item.

So with the current information that he is giving with this complaint, there is actually more reason to decline his warranty. It must be installed by a certified shop, not a person or persons.
So to break down reason for voiding of warranty on this item.
1. engine was disassembled (which he has failed to tell you in his complaint)
2. certified mechanic shop was not used to install this item apperently
3. The first thing the mechanic would have removed would have been the oil pan, not the timing chain and seals. So if the mechanic or whom ever removed this engine noticed the "metal shavings" they would have and should have never continued to removed all of the timing componets.
4. Now with this complaint form given to Revdex.com, and the information given in this statement the warranty is also cancelled due to false and malicious information. Since he is now stating that he was the installer, and not a mechanic shop.
Closing statment: No refund or exchange will be provided by this company in any fashion

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/10/15) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Yes I am a certified T3chnician and it was being installed at pro Auto. The parts he said were missing were in the box, excdpt the oil pump. It was never removed andnwas still on the engine block. The timing components were the only things removed. The engine is junk so what does that matter. Was he planning on selling it to someone else?
