Best Rate HVAC was sent by Home Warranty Company to our home. The service man said he cleaned out the drain and repaired a couple of leaks by the coil (i.e. he taped them). He did not clean out the entire drain--just the part right by the unit. Therefore, the drain is fully clogged and the AC does not work--nor did it the day he came (Service was on Thursday, 8/22). He also told me that I would have to go into the attic and clean out the drain every couple of days with a wet vac to keep the ac running. (Not a repair). Home Warranty Co contacted them and Best Rate said they repaired it. They didn't, plain and simple.
The technician did not fully do the repairs he said he did: he only cleaned a portion of the drain (just the part by the unit--not the entire drain) and the rest remained clogged. The ac did not work, but I had already paid our warranty company $75 for the service call. He told me that to keep it working, I would have to go up in my attic every couple of days and clean out the drain with a wet vac: that is not a repair! I want a refund of the $75, plain and simple. I do not want them back in my home.
