We are truly sorry that [redacted] did not have an enjoyable time on her Phoenix to the Grand Canyon singles tour[redacted] was in her 70s, barely could walk and all the other travelers in the group were in their 50s and active. slow walker. She never mentioned that she was handicapped. Age does not matter it was her inability to walk that was the problem. On all Best Single Travel trips, the first night, a host will meet those who have arrived by 7pm in the hotel lobby to go to an optional dinner. Those who don't make dinner meet the group and tour guide the following morning. Two hostess ([redacted] and [redacted]) met everyone in the lobby the first night at 7pm to go to an optional dinner. [redacted] was on [redacted] that arrived at 7:40pm so she could not have arrived at the hotel before 9pm. The group was on their way back to the hotel by that time. It is just impossible for our host to meet everyone who arrives late at the hotel.Since the group was small in numbers, they were combined with another group for a professionally guided Grand Canyon tour. The group was picked up early in the morning by a van and then met another van that picked up tourists from another part of the valley.  Both groups combined to a big group (thus the changing of the van).On Friday the group was scheduled for a tour beginning at 1pm. Our tour guide, [redacted] was ready to go and then the office received a call from one of the travelers, [redacted]. Who asked if we can move the tour to 2pm since they were all enjoying the morning at the pool.  [redacted] asked if him if everyone in the group agreed and he said yes, so we changed the tour to 2pm.After their afternoon tour of Phoenix the group went out to dinner at Harold's, a cowboy bar in Cave Creek.  After dinner the group walked across the ungraded parking lot to the Buffalo Chip saloon to watch a rodeo. [redacted] could not walk across the parking lot so [redacted] got the car and picked her up in front of the restaurant and drove her across the parking lot and dropped her in front of the saloon. When [redacted] could not walk across the parking lot, [redacted] suggested to her that going to an outdoor fair that had over 500 vendors and is many streets long may not be the best idea. As tour leaders we were concerned that is might be too much walking (especially in the Arizona heat).  [redacted] said she wanted to go so she went. Parking is usually difficult to find at the Tempe street fair so as a courtesy we dropped [redacted] off at the corner of the street fair so she would not have to walk from the parking lot. We advised everyone in the group what time they should meet at a specific corner because there is no way a group of people can stay together at a street fair. Our larger group broke into smaller groups and everyone in the group was given [redacted]'s cell phone, [redacted]'s cell phone and the local office number.  No one got lost and everyone showed up at the correct time, including [redacted].  We then all went to lunch together. The group stayed at the [redacted] by Hilton in Scottsdale, AZ and all the rooms were pre-paid. No one in the group had to pay for their rooms. All the rooms were paid for by Best Single Travel. There was a mix up at the front desk but [redacted] took care of the situation (the night before check-out) while [redacted] took everyone to a Native American dance show. Again we are sorry [redacted] did not enjoy her trip. We hope she chooses a more appropriate trip for herself next time and has a wonderful time.
