I have been a patient of Dr. Best for approximately 20 years or so. I have never NOT paid a bill. Last month I missed my 6 month cleaning with her due to illness and forgot to call. I was charged a $75 dollar fee for missing. Today I had my appointment with her and tried explaining that I was sick and forgot about the appointment. She indicated simply that was the fee. I told her I would send it in then. She then wanted my credit card for my file I assume for any future missed appointments and said, "I want to be able to charge your card." I did not have my wallet with me and told her that I would get that to her. She refused to do my cleaning that day and indicated that when she gets my card on file we can schedule an appointment. REALLY??? Is this how you treat a long time customer-patient? In my opinion, ever since she moved to her new fancy location, she has become more and more about money. Honestly, I felt humiliated, embarrassed and shamed. I would only give her a mediocre rating due to the fact she seems to be more concerned about her financial situation than the care of her patients. I will not be going back there. One less persons insurance company to bill Dr. Best.
