Without having specific information to look up this vehicle, by the complaint I can draw the conclusion that this individuals vehicle was impounded by the police department possibly for tickets. After a vehicle is impounded the tow company is legally obligated to file a lien and send the
notifications through the mail that the vehicle is here, the fees it is incurring and the sell date of the vehicle if it is not picked up within a minimum of days from the lien processThe complainant made mention of receiving our notices in the mail so she was made aware that her vehicle would be sold if not picked upThe vehicle would have been sold and the balance due from the tow, labor and storage would be sent to a collection company to try and recoup the fees that we did not make from the saleUnfortunately, people tend to not follow the law which results in consequences (police impound) and then continue to not follow up with their responsibility of their vehicle and then blame the tow company for their irresponsible actionsThe complainant had plenty of time, over days, to pay for and pick up her vehicle, she chose not to and is now complaining that she allowed it to go to a collection companyOur company towed the vehicle and stored the vehicle for over days, we cannot do this for free, the owner of the vehicle is responsible for her vehicle and that requires following the law or paying the consequences, she was informed from day one of how the process worked and what her responsibilities wereWe will not be reimbursing her as we never recouped the full charges in the first place, she still owes us money and now that it has been sent to collections we legally cannot get involved with payment, she must follow up with the collection agency to see what they will accept

This is what happen when I call Best Towing company I got the information that I could come and paid $190.00 to just leave my car there, so I went at my lunch on Monday August 10th to paid for the fees when I got there Shelly the girl was at the window she never knowledge I was there she just took my paper steer at it and I ask her after she stay quit for a little bit? I ask her do you know what you’re doing? then she got mad because I didn’t give her the correct paper work, with a bad attitude she told me I need it more stuff I gave her the rest of the paper work I had but buy then she had got up and gave me an attitude that she didn’t wanted help me that I need it to apologized, I told her I wasn’t she work there and she was there to help the customers. Then she told me that I need it to leave if not she was going to call the cops on me. I told her go ahead and do it I didn’t care I was going to get my car out, weather she help me or not.  Then another older lady came out and help me. she was very nice but Shelly I guess she’s the owners daughter very RUDE, unprofessional she very races with people. That is why I don’t want to accept her e-mail as to go away I need this complain to be on them for a long time. I need people to know how rude she is and how they give you one $ amount and when you are there they rip you off.

This complaint if unfounded and a personal attack directed at an individual rather than a valid business complaint.  The complainant’s vehicle was impounded by the Huntington Beach Police department for expired registration.  This means the owner,  [redacted], purchased...

the vehicle and never registered it in her name.  Proper procedure is for the owner to go to the DMV and register the vehicle, take that proof to the PD to obtain a release form, bring that form to the towing company to pick up the vehicle at which time they are responsible for paying the tow, labor, lien and storage fees due to the towing company.  It is up to the tow company’s discretion if we will accept the title to the vehicle and payment of tow, labor & lien to leave the vehicle at the tow lot to avoid collections.  [redacted] came to Best Towing to pay those fees and leave the vehicle, when she handed over the paperwork she had it was not the correct paperwork needed to do this transaction, as it was not the title to the vehicle in her name, it showed there was still a legal owner in which case we cannot complete the transaction because she does not have the authority to give away a vehicle that is not legally hers.  While [redacted] was looking over the paperwork she had handed over [redacted] became very rude and demanding in which case [redacted] attempted to explain the problem, [redacted] then pulled out more paperwork and aggressively pushed it through the window at [redacted].  At this point, [redacted] did not have the correct paperwork to complete the transaction of paying the tow and labor to avoid collections and continued to be rude and demanding at which point [redacted] told her,  we are finished here and she needed to leave the premises.  [redacted] continued to make a scene, keep in mind Best Towing is not obligated to accept anything from the owner to avoid paying all charges and picking up their vehicle, it is up to our discretion if we choose to do so.  [redacted] tried calmly to reason with [redacted] but she demanded she is doing this and would take no responsibility for her behavior.  At this time [redacted] deferred to her colleague to take over at which point [redacted] left her desk to go into a meeting with a gentleman that was waiting in the lobby for her and her colleague took over.  In order to get [redacted] to leave the premises because of the disturbance she was creating the employee accepted the wrong paperwork [redacted] had along with the payment of the tow and labor ($194) and added the lien fee of $70 because [redacted] did not have the correct paperwork for us to accept and then dispose of the vehicle we had to lien the vehicle which cost the tow company money in which we pass along to the customer.  Best Towing does not feel [redacted] has a valid complaint against Best Towing Service, we did our job, she chose not to follow the law and got her vehicle impounded.  Best Towing will NOT refund [redacted] anything as she paid the bare minimum to make her problem go away and left Best Towing with the vehicle to dispose of and Best Towing is NOT sending her case to collections for the storage fees incurred for the duration of the vehicle being on our lot.  Best Towing Service asks the Revdex.com to remove her claim as it is a personal attack based on her frustration of having to pay for her mistake of not registering her vehicle and getting it towed.
