I took a formal dress to the dry cleaners on 7/5/13. I paid $10 upfront for the cleaning. When I returned for the dress on the morning of 7/10, the clerk hung the dress in my van and I drove home. When I removed the dress from my van I recognized instantly that it had been damaged. The metallic fabric was dulled and there were spots all over the dress from the solvent used. I couldnt believe they sent it home with me as if nothing had happened! I immediately called the dry cleaner, and while I was explaining the problem to the clerk the call was disconnected. I called right back and the phone rang and rang with no answer. At 4:30 that afternoon I took the dress back to the store. The same clerk was working. He said they must not have noticed the damage. He told me I would need to talk to the owner and that the owner would be in at 5:30 p.m. and he would have him call me. He didnt call, so I returned to the store at 6:30. The clerk said the owner had been there, but had gone home for his glasses so he could read the cleaning label on the dress that had faded. I again left my name and number and when I asked if I could trust the guy to call he assured me that the owner would call tonight or tomorrow morning. He did not call. I returned to the store again the afternoon of 7/11. The clerk indicated that they were having trouble with the store phone, but he would call the owner on his cell phone. I spoke to [redacted] on the phone, and when I got frustrated because he was giving me the run-around, I began to raise my voice, but did not use any profanity. He immediately began yelling back at me telling me to f----off and f--- you, repeatedly. I put the clerks phone down on the counter and walked out of the store. I returned a few minutes later to try to get the owners name and number so I could call when I had calmed down. The clerk said that he was still on the phone. I picked up the phone and the owner accused me of cracking the screen on his clerks phone when I left the store the phone the first time. I walked away from the store without a resolution.
