Review: On September 11, 2014 I booked a reservation at this hotel for February 19, 2015 through February 24, 2014. The reservation was made through Best Western's website www.bestwestern.com. On the booking web page for this particular hotel there was no indication that the hotel was under renovations or that certain amenities advertised would not be available (pool, business center, fitness room, etc.). The reservation confirmation email did not indicate there was a renovation project underway or that certain amenities would not be available. Only upon our arrival did we find out about the situation. Upon returning home I I received an email from Best Western soliciting feedback on our recent stay. I subsequently expressed my displeasure with the fact that we were not made aware of the ongoing construction and that we paid the full price reservation and could not access amenities. In response the hotel management emailed me stating that the renovation project was clearly stated on their website for over a year. A phone call from a corporate customer service representative also made the same assertion and therefore could not offer me any form of compensation. Following this interaction I went back to the website to look for the renovation notification they claimed. Again on the initial web page I found no such notification. However this time I clicked on an "additional information" tab which showed a drop down brief statement regarding the renovation. It should be noted that on this particular hotels website there is indeed a very detailed notice regarding the renovation project. However, at no time during the booking process on the corporate website was I transferred to the hotels website, where I could have clearly seen the notification. All this being said, had I been made aware of the situation and the extent of the disruption I would have chosen another hotel.Desired Settlement: I feel that Best Western should refund what I paid for this reservation and modify their corporate website the clearly state the disruption that potential customers will face should they book a reservation at this particular hotel during the renovation project currently underway.
