Mr. [redacted] had a reservation at our Facility.  Upon check in the guest requested to use Best Western Reward Points.  The Reward Membership did not belong to this guest so without the Member present, the Hotel is unable to retrieve points.  In addition, the proper channels were...

not followed in order to book a Reservation by using points.  The original Reservation was booked using a AAA Discount.  This was explained to the guest and paying cash was indeed an option.  However, we do require a Credit Card authorization for Incidental fees that may occur when paying cash, the guest refused to provide that and claimed that they did not have a credit card with them.  I(General Manager), was contacted via phone when the guest was present and this was explained to the guest.  The guest then stated that they did not need the reservation and vacated the property.  Approximately 30 minutes later the Guest called claiming they wanted the reservation as they were going to buy a prepaid Credit Card at Walmart.  By this time the Room had been canceled and sold.  I did speak with the female guest again on Monday, 06/08/15 and again advised her of the above items so that they were aware in the future and apologized.  The Guest stated that they had located a cheaper Hotel and the call ended.    -- Amy Witham | General Manager
