Unfortunately, as I told the guest, because he occupied the room for approximately 1 1/2 hours,  we are not able to refund his cash.  When I spoke with him earlier today, I explained that in order to re-rent the room, we would have to have it cleaned and inspected before we could make it...

available to another person.   He said he didn't sleep in the beds, but we still cannot re-rent the room after someone's entered it and stayed that long.  This guest threatened me and told me he had a " list of things he was going to do to me."  He hasn't stopped since our conversation this morning.   Even has gone as far as saying I belittled him and insulted his intelligence.  We had many guests that stayed last night that had their electricity back up and running before bedtime.  Several inquired if they would be permitted to leave without a charge...and we told them that unfortunately, we could not do that. We are standing firm on our policy and no exception will be made for him.  [redacted]General Manager

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
This is an outright lie and slanderous.  The only things I "threatened to do" were to file a complaint with the Revdex.com and take my business elsewhere.  That entire quotation is entirely a figment of Ms. [redacted]'s imagination.  It speaks bounds to her lack of professionalism that she would stoop so low.She has apparently been ordained the sole authority over all decisions in this matter, and I do not wish to waste anymore of my time, have lies told about me.  I truly hope that this company can find someone more professional to handle their business in the future and I will stand firm by my promise to take my business elsewhere in the future, and tell every single person I know about what kind of people actually run this establishment, and the unethical practices that they are rooted in.

Review: My family (Myself, My Wife, and two children ages 5 and 1) were dislocated from our home for 2 days due to a power outage after the recent ice storm in [redacted]a. We stayed in the Best Western on Tuesday February 18th with no issue. At 7 pm on November 17th I received a message from the power company stating that we would not have power again until November 18th by 11:59pm. My wife and I decided to stay for another night. At 7:45 we checked in at the hotel and went to steak and shake for approximately half an hour. At 8:30 pm when I looked at my phone I noticed a text from AEP stating power had been restored and immediately went to the front desk, and explained the situation. The man at the desk told me one of his managers would not give me a refund, but the other was coming in in the next hour or two and would contact me immediately, so if I wanted to leave I could go ahead and check out and wait for the call. I did this and never received a call. On 2/18 I contacted the Best Western Corporate office, who informed me that the General Manager of this location held the sole power to issue this refund. And they would have her contact me. An hour or so later the GM of the Best Western Contacted me and notified me that because I walked through the door of the room, even though I didn't use a single amenity in the room, I would not receive ANY FORM of refund. This practice is unethical and needs to be reprimanded, and seeing as the Corporate office apparently has no control over their General Managers this is my only means to seek resolution.Desired Settlement: I want at least a 75% refund of my $95.34. That I have already been told my the corporate office the General Manager has the power to do, but has refused to do with me on the phone.
