The fee was associated with violation of the hotel policy. The guest left their pet unattended in their room in direct violation of the signed agreement for pets. This was verified by multiple employees. We could not get in touch with guest to control barking. Other guests complained that we...

could not get the barking dog under control and we had to compensate the other guests and charge the guest in question our lost revenue. During the check out process, other hotel guest informed them that they could hear their dogs barking during the same time window. It is unfortunate that this violation in a policy that the guest agreed to has caused financial burden.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: First of all, The FEE is utterly ridiculous. Besides, we not only paid the "FEE", in addition we had to pay "TAX" on top of the fee. Also, We should have been provided a "Fee Chart" that specifically lists what the fees are/or include. The manager stood RIGHT IN FRONT of us and said that this was to pay for the "comped" room of the other individual who they had to comp because of our supposed dogs barking ALL NIGHT - or rather from 6pm until 12 midnite....(another LIE). It was VERIFIED by numerous employees, but funny, we were not provided any names as was promised via email, etc. They can not verify this, so are using this excuse to validate their errors. AND, The "other guest" said NOTHING about hearing OUR dogs barking, he just made an overall EXTREMELY RUDE comment about "STUPID DOGS" in general.
Best Western Mt Hood better change their business practices. We hope they LOSE BIG TIME on this! They deserve it. They are RUDE UNCOMPASSIONATE AND VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. 
The letter explains EVERYTHING, step-by-step as to what exactly happened. But we are sure they will try to back paddle on this also.
NOTE: WE ALSO HAVE 4 WITNESSES THAT CAN VOUGE FOR OUR DOGS NOT BARKING FROM 8:30 pm up to approximately 11:00 pm. Sincerely,[redacted]
