I am rejecting this response because: at the time of check in, I was told I would not be charged extra.  I had already paid at time of reservation.  This was not my mistake.   This was best westerns mistake/scam.  Mr. [redacted]'s story has changed every time I question this dispute.

As the
customer stated in her complaint the hotel did inadvertently have 2
reservations (rooms) under her name, but she also admits that the party she was
traveling with did in fact use both of those rooms. I understand the guest’s
frustration regarding the length of time taken to...

identify the problem, however
the vendor responsible for payment did not dispute the second room charge until
June at which time the customer was contacted. As in any business mistakes can
be made the customer is asking that she not be charged for the additional room
they stayed in for 2 nights. The best available rate for the dates the guest
stayed in April was $229 per night plus applicable taxes and parking totaling
$274.77 per night for a grand total of $549.54 for both nights the room was
used. As this was a mistake by both parties the hotel charged the guest a total
of $248.34 which represents the reimbursement denied by the third party vendor
and a reduction in total cost that legally could have been charged to the guest
of $301.20! As you can see the hotel did in fact accept responsibility for
their error and reduced the charges by more than $300, and have only asked for
the customer to bear her portion of responsibility for the additional room that
their party used for 2 nights during a sold out weekend in Savannah. As the
customer mentioned in her complaint she did in fact sign 2 registration cards
accepting responsibility for both rooms, and did accept and use 2 rooms during
their visit to Savannah and therefore under the Innkeepers Act are responsible
for payment of the consumed rooms. The customer has already disputed the
charges with her credit card company and lost that dispute because she did in
fact use the additional room and was therefore responsible for paying for the
