Initial Business Response /* (1000, 11, 2016/09/09) */
Dear Sir
I will attempt to answer your request in a pointed manner.
1. Advertised services and amenities were paid for in full but not received in full.-All contracted services were supplied in full with the exception of the Brides first...

bottle of wine. They had to ask for it so I did not charge them for that bottle.
2. I scheduled a wedding venue for 6/18/16 and the venue was paid for prior to the date. Per the contract with miscellaneous charges to be paid the following day.
3. The company advertised an event manager, kitchen staff for the buffet, non alcoholic drinks for dinner, bartenders, champagne toast, etc. All of which were supplied for months before the actual event. I met with the bride, groom, Brides mom several times
4.As well as this we had agreed on and paid for, special meals for our guests with dietary restrictions (baked chicken instead of roast beef) Which was provided,
5. high chairs for our guests with small children, were available non were requested by anyone and
6. a bottle of wine at the table for the bride. This was forgotten until it was requested and then we supplied it and I gave it at no charge
7. We did not receive the advertised or additional amenities. All amenities contracted were given with exception of wine
8. Our buffet ran out of food for over 30 minutes due to insufficient staffing, This is simply not true
9. the bottle of wine was never furbished, it was along with 3 others- 1 free and 3 charged
9. I had to personally find the manager, who was tending bar for another venue, and demand our champagne toast, (she was given an event schedule prior to he
date)the champagne toast was late due to the fact the bridal itinerary was thrown out the window from the groom father who demanded the bar be opened early to the bride and groom who arrived late
10. our bartender was over 30 minutes late yet we paid full price The bar was opened 30 minutes early because the grooms father demanded it as “ He was paying for it” I also gave the bride and groom a half price deal as I forgot to inquire about the bar until the week of the wedding I only charged them 105.00 and it should have been 210.00
11, no high chairs were furbished, no one asked it was never discussed
12. no drinks were served with the meal, Water, Iced tea and lemonade were served to the guest upon their arrival and thru out the meal
13. and the "baked chicken" ended up being chicken nuggets. It was not chicken nuggets it was boneless/ skinless chicken breast with potatoe and vegetable
14. advertised the manager was supposed to greet us upon our arrival to the event. She had double booked venues that evening and was tending bar for a different wedding. Had she been managing our event as advertised, these oversights would not have happened. I have contacted the manager via email and requested a refund of the gratuity (service charge) for the evening explaining in detail all of the services and amenities that were advertised, agreed on, and paid for, but were not rendered or
furbished. She has denied any fault, and refused a refund. She claims all services and amenities were provided as advertised, And I believe that we supplied all the amenties and stuff we were supposed too. I agree with Mr. Wade I was not in their all night nor would I have been all night but we had two people no call no show so we were short a bartender and a waitress but all services were rendered in a timely manner and we received multiple compliments from the guest and the Orchestra that we saved food to eat when they were done.
15. however she has admitted to not being present for the majority of the event. In total, the total event cost was $5708.92 with approximately $1000.00( 596.43) of the total being the "service charge."
Consumer's Desired Resolution:
16.I believe I am entitled to, at minimum, the gratuity (service charge) for the event. The services that were advertised were not rendered. If needed I can provide witness testimony, pictures, documentation, and correspondence with the manager prior to and
after the event.
I’m sure that Mr. Wade can provide testimony from his guest after all they are family and friends. I have admitted to the 2 issues we were short on and I have given monetary compensation for these errors. I do not feel he is entitled to any further compensation
