Best Western Roseville Inn

Review: On September 25th I signed a Group Rooms Agreement with Best Western for a block of 8 room at the rate of $59. On September 25th I made my reservation for one room and received a confirmation (#[redacted]). Seven other families booked rooms as well. On October 23rd at 5:22pm, less than twenty-four hours before check-in, I received a voice mail cancelling not just my room, but our entire block of rooms. Their explanation: "Unfortunately we have guests that have been in house for several days and have extended their stay through the end of the month."To me that is unacceptable. We were traveling to Roseville from Santa Cruz County for a soccer tournament and could not alter our plans. We were forced to book rooms, at the last minute, at another hotel at the rate of $149 per night.Desired Settlement: I would like payment for my out of pocket cost for the difference between the $59 rate Best Western confirmed and the rate of $149 I was forced to pay at an alternate hotel.I was out of pocket $192.60.

All guest in group were contacted prior to arrival, We explain we had an unforeseen over booking of corporate accounts. Corporate accounts ended up staying 4 weeks. Each guest received the information via phone of which hotel the property had searched for with the most compable price , the property did not plan on the overbooking and actually has not had to walk any group ever before. We did apologize it was not intential.Guest did contact Best Western costumer service and they mailed a check/travel cards for the amounts agreed upon per each individual file since several of the guest in the same group contacted the BW line,they have since been re-inbursed for the unfotunate line of events.
