Review: Stayed at this hotel from July 8 - July 13, 2015. The hotel was booked completely for Comic-Con so no other rooms available.
Was given room 155, this room had issues with the locking mechanism on the door and the lock did not engage. First night I informed the front desk, via phone, no response given. My room was not cleaned on Friday, June 10, 2015. The room's door did not lock from the outside, the housekeeping department did not check this either. When I informed the hotel staff about the issue, for a second time, the attendant said the manager knew of the issue but didn't have parts. He also said it would be fixed the next day which did not occur.
I've spoken to [redacted] in your customer service department. She will only offer $75 coupon for another stay. This is not satisfactory.Desired Settlement: I'm looking for at least 1/2 refund for this occurrence. I book a hotel and expect to be safe while staying there. At Comic-Con we buy memorabilia and merchandise that can often fetch hundreds of dollars. It would be a shame of items I had purchased went missing due to the inability of the hotel to adequately secure rooms.
Review: On 1/31/2016 I made a 2 night reservation for 1/31/&2/1/2016. I was using reward points to pay for one night & my debit card to pay for the remaining night. I was given only 1reservation confirmation #. I called the hotel directly a short time later & cancelled the reservation. I called back again to the 800# later that same day, explained that I had previously made & cancelled a 2 night reservation. I then reserved a room for 1 night ,1/31/2016, which I used reward points to pay for. I checked in the hotel approx 15 minutes later. Checked out the next morning. The hotel has charged my debit card $71.72, saying that when I cancelled the 1st reservation, I only cancelled 1 night not 2! Again, I was given 1reservation # , which I cancelled. There was no discussion about which night or partial cancellation. That's ridiculous. I want my money refunded. I have contacted Best Western several times to no avail.Desired Settlement: Immediate refund. I should not be charged due to a mistake made by the clerk who mishandled my cancellation.
