Review: the picked up my items in van nuys california and were to deliver them in pittsburgh pensylvania. When the truck driver arrived the used a shuttle to bring my items to the house, which later the truck driver said was not necesary they just wasn't sure were the house was but that they could have driven up the st and not needed the extra shuttle which costs 250 dollars. When they started offloding they realized that there was a box missing number 93 so they suggested filling a claim. I did after 3 months all I got was 130 dollars this is after discounting the shuttle which I agree would be faire if the shutle was acutally needed. mind you I purcheded full insurance for my move. The company said that that was all they were going to gicve us so I contesdted it. They have a clause that estipulateed that they can pay you 100 dollrs a pond and that is fine but the only problem is that they only paid for one pound on an item that was 11 pounds and said that this is because they need a refrence to know why it was so heavy we provided and still nothing. Not nly that but it is imposible to contact a real live persone everything is via email and answering machins and no one will give you a number to someone in charge. This company is a real joke and needs to be stopped they cant just take people s items that they worked hard for and because they aren't sure of what it is just underestimate it's market price. I just want what is mine I am entiteld to get paid either for the wait or the moitaary value of the item. I need a fair solution not just what they agree they want to pay but what they should since they lost the box in question.Desired Settlement: as provided by the claim statment either the 100 dollars per pound which would make the rest of the settelment money missing 1000 dollars or the value opf the item which woulkd make the missing part 1000 dollars.

I believe this to be a case of mistaken identity! Although we are an Agent for American Red Ball, we have never been the agent on any move going to Pittsburgh.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 9859588, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I guess it has to be more spesific to exactly which one this company does suck since no one will take responsability even though its the same company I will look further into how to file a complaint, and narrow doen the exact place since I am very upset.

I was very pleased from the start with the customer service on the phone with Best Move. They were very responsive and accommodating. The two-man crew that showed up was top notch. They moved my things efficiently, safely, and effectively into my U-pack Relocube. They came well prepared, had a pleasant demeanor, and all of my things arrived safely on the other coast.

Review: When the 2 men arrived to move us, they complained about us not being ready, even though we had everything packed and ready to go, it took them 45 minutes to stop complaining and actually get to work. The past movers we had bubble wrapped any boxes that weren't closed without a word, not skipping a beat, these guys complained and threw a lot of our stuff into wardrobe boxes that also needed to unpack at destination, which took more time. We felt obliged to help them so as to save se time as well as to protect our belongings from being broken or destroyed when they chose to stuff them in box. Also, I was told that this company didn't provide moves with the amount of bubble wrap needed to make this go smoother, that someone had used it all and didn't leave them any. Also, the company didn't provide ramps for the few steps into our new place to also make it easier for them, these guys were 65+ and started getting tired and slowing down as well. They even verbally shared they should have had 1 more guy helping them, as well. I tried calling the office and couldn't reach anyone and actually felt bad for these guys who were trying their hardest and I didn't want them to personally be blamed for the poor planning and set up of this move.Desired Settlement: We would like at $150 for resolution

On the morning of August 14, I was out in the field bringing additional supplies to one of our crews. I returned to my office at about 9:15 AM. There were two messages left on our voicemail. The 1st one was from Mrs. B[redacted] saying that she was not very happy and we should have sent a 3rd man on her move and how soon could we get a 3rd man out there. As I heard this I was immediately thinking of who we could send out to help. Then I played the 2nd voicemail and it was Mrs. B[redacted] again. This message had come in about an hour after the 1st voicemail, and this time she said, “Don’t worry, everything is OK!” “No need to send anybody else, we’ll be fine!” My nephew, G[redacted], who does the dispatch for our company, called the crew and they said that everything will be OK! But, when they first got there they noticed that a lot of items were not packed and told Mrs. B[redacted] that it might be better with a 3rd man, now that some packing had been added to the move. You see, we always ask our customers when we schedule the move, if they will need help packing and then follow up with another phone call the day before the move to see if they need us to bring some packing supplies to help finish the packing. Well, on both occasions, Mrs. B[redacted] said no, we will have all the packing finished by the time your crew arrives! To my great surprise, I received a phone call from Mrs. B[redacted] almost two weeks after her move. She told me that she was unhappy with her move, that we should have sent a 3 man crew, and that she felt like our 2 man crew worked very slowly. She also said that she would like some compensation in the form of a refund of some of the charges, on her move. I told her that I was sorry that she was unhappy and would speak to our crew, and if I felt that some compensation was due, I would send her a check. I spoke to our crew and they told me that when they first got to Mrs. B[redacted]’s house, things were a bit hectic because they weren’t expecting to have to pack, but there was a lot left to pack and they didn’t have a lot of packing supplies with them. But, they made do, and just used the extra wardrobe boxes that they had on the truck and finished the packing. And after the first hour or so, everything was ok and they finished in a timely manner. They said that Mrs. B[redacted] seemed very happy and even gave them each a generous tip! I then called Mrs. B[redacted] and left a message, saying that I talked to our crew and they felt that everything went pretty well and that you even gave them a generous tip? So, under the circumstances, I feel like our crew did a good job, but as a courtesy, I would send her a check for ½ hour of service time. When my nephews and I started our business back in 1985 we had a motto that we have always tried to conduct our business by: “Always try to be fair!” Well, we feel like we were fair with Mrs. B[redacted].
