To Whom It May Concern:This letter is a response to the complaint sent to you by our patient, [redacted]. The patient was treated at Inova [redacted] Hospital on 10-3-13. The patient is being billed for two charges, the first charge is $921.00 for an Emergency Level 4 Evaluation...

and the second charge is $44.00 for a non-invasive pulse oximetry. The patient's insurance, [redacted], paid our office $257.60 on the $921.00 charge, we wrote off $599.00 due to being in-network, this left a balance of $64.40, which the patient paid promptly. The second charge for $44.00 was written off due to our contract with [redacted]. The account has a zero balance at this time and was never sent to collections.After reviewing the complaint, I understand that the patient is concerned about collection activity for an amount of $670.40. At no time did we bill the patient for this amount. I searched for other accounts using his name, address and social. This was the only account that I was able to find on file with Best Practices Inc.
