Beth's Barricades

Review: I am extremely displeased with the product as well as the service and attitude of Beth's Barricades. I hired this company in June 2013 to deliver and install barricades to close down a highway that was permitted for a film shoot in which children would be running on the said highway. The barricades that they provided for us to install were simply not sufficient for the job at hand. On their website, they describe the Type III barricades as the specific tool for closing roads, which is what we were doing and what we were permitted and approved to do and employed Beth's Barricades to execute safely. But for reasons I don't quite understand, they supplied us with "vertical panels" that no one would agree are the appropriate tool to close down a 55mph highway on two sides. In fact, on their website, it says that vertical panels are "most commonly used to channelize or delineate traffic flow but may also be used singly or in groups to mark specific potential hazards." They do not say that these panels are for closing roads. Again, the tool for closing roads are Type III barricades and what I thought I was paying for and again, what their website states are used for closing roads. In a mad dash and at another cost, I had to hire another party to supply appropriate barricades for the safety of the children involved and the crew involved. In addition, the company has been completely negligent in dealing with my complaints and my attempts to negotiate a reasonable discount for their oversights and/or failures. This is not a professional operation.Desired Settlement: I paid 1100 dollars for a service I simply did not received. I would like to be refunded at least half of this original cost.

[redacted] credit card company that explains our business interaction in great detail. Our quotation

and delivery of services was accurate and professional. The fact that some motorists decided to disobey

traffic control devices is out of our control. We close roads every day throughout the Commonwealth

without issue. When [redacted] disputed the charge to their credit card, the chargeback was

reversed in our favor.

It is our contention that Beth’s Barricades delivered the quoted service as described in several emails.

We are not offering any discounts based on this fact.
