I'm sorry that we could not help.

On 6/16/16 car was towed in for no start---replace timing belt under extended warranty that expires on 7/23/16
On 8/5/16 car came in for horn going off at times--unable to duplicate. Also A/C not cooling--recharged system and checked for leaks--warranty expired on 7/23/16
On 8/26/16...

car towed in for overheating---replace leaking heater hose and customer added a oil change with inspection. warranty expired on 7/23/16 and heater hoses are not covered under extended warranties.
Bettenhausen will look into the horn issue again at no charge if it is still acting up but as far as the brake reimbursement we can not refund. Brakes are not covered under any extended warranty even though it expired on 7/23/16.

Please contact our service department if you would like the horn looked at again.

The customer was offered to get his $1,400 back and keep the roof as is or we could trade him out of it and he would receive a great deal. Customer refused both options. The sunroof in his new car looks great but not 100% like it would be from the factory, but then again nothing can be duplicated...

when it comes to cutting sheet metal. We verified from the company that installed the sunroof that it is installed in the correct location. Bettenhausen again has went above and beyond to try and satisfy this customer where other dealerships would have done NOTHING. Please have customer send pictures to show where the difference is--I had to have someone show me because I could not tell at first.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: In June my car was fixed under warranty. In August when it was no longer under warranty they stated the car needed front and back brakes, front and rear rotors, right rear wheel bearing, front and rear motor mounts and front and rear struts. How did all this go wrong with my car in a month and a half? I believe it was not inspected thoroughly in June and they let me drive a unsafe vehicle. I don't need my horn fixed by Bettenhausen since they couldn't fix it right the first time. I took it to another Dodge dealer and it was repaired the first time.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

If you are a current or potential customer of Bettenhausen [redacted] please consider this before you make your purchase. In April of 2013 I purchased a brand new Chrysler 200 from the Bettenhausen dealership with only seven miles on the odometer. Since that time I have kept current on my car payments and regular vehicle maintenance was done only through Bettenhausen automotive. Fast forward to April 27th 2016 the bumper to bumper warranty expired. I was in no rush to add more money to my existing car note because the car was still practically new with approx. 55 thousand miles.
At the end of July (2016) I was driving home from work on the expressway when the temperature gauge shot up to hot for a very brief moment out of nowhere. I pulled the car over instantly, there was no smoke and the gauge went back to its normal position so I continued driving (gauge still normal) thinking that it was just a quick error. I’m thinking what could be wrong when I have never had a problem before. As I continue driving I hear a rattling noise like a playing card against a bicycle tire, so I called the dealer to let them know what was happening to ask for advice. I was told I couldn’t be helped not only because the service department closing soon, but they were backed up on appointments and it would be at least a week before I could be seen. I’m guessing emergency situations don’t take any priority.
I drove at about 30mph for a half mile to get off of the expressway. When I approached the red light at the exit the car shut completely off. I had it towed to my house for my brother (who is a mechanic) to look at the car. The upper radiator hose had come loose so thinking it was nothing major I purchased an upper radiator hose from the dealer the next day for him to replace it. After the new upper radiator hose was installed the car still wouldn’t start so I had it towed to the dealer for them to diagnose the problem. Once diagnosed I received a phone call saying that the heat from the engine warped the intake manifold ,which was the reason that the car wouldn’t start. I was told that Bettenhausen couldn’t approve the engine to get repaired so they sent the case to corporate.
I was assigned a case worker that no longer worked there and had to wait to be assigned another case worker and another after that. There was issues reaching them and getting my calls returned so I called and left voice messages when I could because the mailbox was full. They had issues with the images of the engine being sent over so I had to wait for that as well. This whole process took about month and a couple weeks until another case worker, whom I had never dealt with, called me back with the results. They did not approve the engine to be repaired because I was told digital imaging came to the conclusion it was not a manufacturers defect and that it had to be an “outside source” that caused it. In other words a non covered part destroyed a covered part and they refused to service the car. The lady, in so many words, was telling me it was my fault for the engine overheating.
According to the dealership the cost to replace the engine is $5,400. The only thing Bettenhausen and Chrysler’s corporate office did for me was give me the run around and unclear reasons on how this could have happened. Since this has happened I have had numerous co-workers, friends and loved ones inquire about my situation and comment on how horrible I have been treated. It is not just my business, they will those, but all those I come in contact with. Unfortunately I am left with the purchase and installation of an engine so that I am not just paying for a vehicle that I cannot drive. BUYERS BEWARE!!!! I could have had my family in the car, I could have been driving to the airport for business and missed my flight, I could have been stranded in the middle of nowhere had I not been headed home. I am grateful I was safe and strangers came to my aid, but I would hate for anyone of my friends or family and anyone that you all know to be in my predicament. My hopes are that this post brings awareness in the event something unfortunate happens to a vehicle you own even if you have the 100,000 mile powertrain warranty do not expect any help from Bettenhausen or Chrysler.

At Bettenhausen we strive to reach 100% customer satisfaction through removing the haggling in the car purchase & world class customer service – Bettenhausen is a One Price store, and...

every customer pays the same for the vehicle. 100% customer service is exactly what our team tried to accomplish with Mr. [redacted] who purchased a $22K - 2016 [redacted] Sport at our One Price on July 12th. On July 13th he wanted to return the vehicle…..Mr. [redacted] was offered to upgrade the vehicle at a same or lessor payment, our attempt of making the Mr. [redacted] happy was denied by Mr. [redacted]. Few days later Mr. [redacted] dropped the vehicle on the lot and said that the bank could repo it if they wanted to. A few weeks later Mr. [redacted] changed his mind in regards to the vehicle exchange and told us that he would trade us for a $35k [redacted] 300 if he could keep his payments the same….unfortunately this was not possible. Had Mr. [redacted] decided to let us help him earlier we could have assisted him in a collateral exchange, but now the [redacted] becomes a trade-in – Which becomes impossible to accomplish what Mr. [redacted] is seeking.
