Company did not follow their protocol for billing cancellation of therapy. Company failed to use required retainer fee but never returned remaining retainer fee after leaving the company. Therapist often cancel sessions last minute without any recourse but clients are billed full sessions which goes against their protocol. Current owner not up front an honest about billing issues and blames the former owner/business partner for false billing claims.
Explanation of Charges Retainer fee to be returned in full and follow protocol with all charges/claims made through insurance.
We are unable to discuss in detail the situation with this family due to HIPPA concerns. We can say that we agreed to an extended payment plan of $50.00 per month for the family to achieve our standard $1500.00 retainer. Unfortunately we only received the initial $50.00 installment and the client's self-pay obligation greatly exceeded that amount. The client is now receiving services from our former co-manager who was responsible for billing and collection activities at the time and who we believe was unable to collect any further retainer from the client after the initial $50.00 payment.
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Retainer was setup to automatically debit each month and I never received an invoice for the remaining balance of the retainer. Once again multiple billing concerns with this company. There are multiple dates in question that were cancelled by therapists last minute. Also after speaking with insurance I should not have even been charged a retainer since my son is 100% covered!
