Better Body Fitness Bootcamp Reviews (3)

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 11850344, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
The response from Better Body Fitness ( BBF) does not outline what if any actions will be taken to correct concerns. The first complaint listed on original complaint is asking for BBF to discontinue promoting the supplements they promote until a certified nutritionist can be brought on staff .In their response it appears BBF is going to continue to offer these supplements. As I' ve stated in previous reviews and complaints this concerns meOffering supplements that encourage a pyramid type of sales strategy could create a situation where a coach employee or owner could intentionally or unintentionally focus more on the sales of the supplements and growing the pyramid or supplement "team". I am not stating that has occured at BBF. I am simply stating that with this type of supplement and its marketing strategy this could happen. As a member of BBF January - September 2016 I was given an opportunity to participate in different weight loss challeges. One of the conditions of the challenge was that I had to follow the menu plan that BBF shares with its members. If I did not follow that menu I could not be a part of the challenge. During my membership at BBF the challenges and the menu plan changed three times. The final menu has individuals participating in what can be called carb cyclingCarb cycling is good for short term only. This fact , that this menu should be short term only, was never explained to me. In fact at the end of the weight loss challenge no menu or information when to end that menu or how to start a new menu were given. During one of those challenges ( the first one, two months into my membership) when I asked questions about what to do after the challenge and how to create a menu I was told by the owner that I was a "basic" member that as such I was not privilege to that information, that if I wanted answers and coaching like that , I needed to increase my membership fees and bump up to the next level in membership BBF has a great product, their format, programs,( not their nutrition) as an entry level gymFrom what I was seeing before I left BBF may have figured that out and has since changed their policies and marketing. However if they have not. It would benefit BBF and the entire industry in our community if they could come up with a policy and better communicate with members what exactly BBFs mission vision and focus are. It would be great to see BBF create a relationship within the industry and community where other facilities could refer members back and forth .During my time as a member, BBF offered , at an additional charge what they called and marketed as ( next level programs) Advanced Training Courses and Obstacle Course Race Training. Two offered by a coach that has since left and one offered by a coach that is presently at BBF. Those programs were removed. When they were removed no explanations or notice were given to members, they were just, gone. When certain individuals contracts expired and they expressed interest in those programs they were told these programs were going to be brought back. After individuals signed new contract, those programs were not brought back and BBF told indivduals these programs were not to return. Individuals then expressed a desire that they no longer wanted to continue attending BBF if those programs were not going to be offered.Individuals were then told they needed to buy out their contracts if they wante out of it. Said individuals felt deceived and used. Personally and as a former business owner ( different industry) this is bad business.Within the fitness community and industry here in our community BBF is getting a bad name among members ( current and past)Current members and past members of BBF have approached me with these same concerns. I am the only one filing a concern. I am basing this concern on my personal experiences at BBF. Experiences that I share with those approaching me nothing more.Like I stated previously BBF has a great fitness program ( less the nutrition until they have a certified nutritionist , less additional advanced programs like AT and OCRT). It is my hope that they consider; hiring a nutritionist or remove the supplements, stick with what their good at and stop offering the OCRT and AT next level classes then removing them with out explanation. Instead develop a referral program with other facilities within the industry and community. Where facilities would refer , endorse BBF as a launching pad into an individuals fitness journey and BBF would refer their members to these facilities when members express a desire to advance to the next level. Something that I have seen occur in the past but in light of the above concerns, ( nutrition, deception, possibly not intentional but is perceived as such) has stopped I thank the Revdex.com for this opportunity to mediate and share these concerns in a non threatening manner.**

The desired outcome of this member has already been taken care of as of 2/9/18. A check in the amount of $185 was cut to her and her contract along with her boyfriends was terminated.

To respond to complaints1)  We do not offer a menu, we provide a calorie guideline for individuals to follow. Per the complaint as you will see in our menu, an average of calories per 48 hours is 1300 which falls in line with all caloric guidelines you will find anywhere. If this does not work...

for someone we encourage them to eat for their lifestyle.   Will send additional email with info.  As far as supplementation, of course we have these available,as do all gyms, but they are at customers request only. 2) Our prices have not changed in over a year, I will send this in an email as well. Unless we run a special, which is 2X a year, on the BBF birthday and Black Friday.3) Our program absolutely changes daily.  It is a method of HIIT and strength, during our 3 years in business we have never done the same program twice. 4)We never EVER promises anyone we will be running any sort of additional programs.  I am not sure what is meant by advanced training, we did have a Obstacle Course Training program during the spring and summer months, unfortunately it did not generate enough interest, and it was costing the business more to run than we could handle. I am not sure what the person is referring to as far as being let out of the contract.  This person's contract came to an end.  We do have a buyout clause of $15 per week for remaining weeks left on any contract.  We will include that as well.I will include a few emails from this individual, that paint quite a different picture. A Coach that was with us for about a year left and went to work at a different gym in the area, this is where this certain individual now is.  I can only assume this is the reason for the shift in negativity.
