I purchased an offer from Living Social, but what I got was something entirely different! I purchased an offer from Living Social in October and called the company to schedule an appointmentThe only availability was for weeks out in November which I scheduledThe technician called on the day of the appointment and said he would be a little late---later in the conversation he mentioned that he would be two hours late---which didn't work for my schedule and said he would call for other availability and then came the next dayHe was very friendly when he showed up, but pulled out a contract and said it would be a couple hundred dollars more to do a full cleaning of the air duct systemOn the Living Social website it describes the service as a whole-house air duct and dryer vent cleaning, which includes one return line, one main line, and a furnace and A/C checkupHe also mentioned that he accepts tips for his services I declined the additional services and went with what the voucher purchasedHe then used a shop-vac to vacuum out the floor vents and did nothing for the ceiling vents and did one of the supply vents When he finished (mins later) he went through the contract again and said "So no tip, huh????" and went on to explain how he worked me in even though the next available appt was in December I thought the service was a poor value and the customer service was awkward at best!!

I purchased air duct cleaning from A Better Clean USA through Living SocialThey did not show up two timesWhen I called to find out what was going on - the lady on the phone said "it is out of her control" if her employees show up or not
I explained that yes it is in her control if employees show or notYou factor in people not showing, confirm the night before etcShe told me that she didn't have to take my rudeness and hung up on meBecause that wasn't rude or unprofessionalShe seemed to be surprised that I wasn't happy about taking off from work to wait their technicians to not show? I tried to call her back but she blocked my phone number
I wrote to the corporate office with no responseIt is a scam for sure

I purchased a voucher on a living social and scheduled an appointmentI waited a month for my appointment and on a scheduled day, they never cameSince then I try to reach them but they don't answer or return a call

Bought through a living social deal and the deal clearly states on the living social page that it included the main line, however I was charged $to clean the main line I called the company and pretty much got the response of 'I think you got a good deal' Well it may have been a good deal in your mind but it was not what the living social website says was included Living Social was great in taking care of me, Clean USA, not so much I would not recommend

Better Clean USA sells vouchers through [redacted] for a "Whole-House [redacted] Duct Cleaning" valued at $279.00. On their website, they have a link showing a 2:29 minute video about how they clean ducts showing a rotary brush and vacuum system going all through the ducts cleaning them completely.

When the service is booked, they subcontract the work to a different company, in this case, [redacted], who send a local worker out to perform the service. He proceeds to place a large vacuum in front of one furnace duct opening and run it for 20 minutes. When asked about the brush cleaning, he says, that's not included with the voucher, it would be $200 more.

There is nothing on the voucher that says it is a "Minimum Cleaning" service, and the website shows no service other than the power brush cleaning.

When I called to complain, I was given the run-around of each company saying to call the other, and no one taking the call to a manager to make good on the service sold.

I have to agree with all the reviews. I too purchased the [redacted] for duct cleaning and dryer vent cleaning. I was told they don't do second floor dryer vents. There was nothing in the disclaimer that said anything about that. The tech said he could vacuum it, but that he wasn't allowed to move it since someone had previously damaged a washing machine and they had to pay for it to be replaced. The deal clearly stated that it was for sanitizing, not just vacuuming. When the guy tried to get me to sign that he had completed the job and that it would require over $200 to do a thorough clean I refused to sign. He walked off in a huff and said that the vacuum they use is a 1very expensive machine. HORRIBLE service. [redacted] gave me back some of my money, but not all. I told them the ad clearly stated sanitizing. The girl there argued with me about some vents being dirtier than others. Ridiculous! My dryer vent is still full of lint and someone remarked how dangerous that is. That's why I bought the [redacted] in the first place!

I purchased an offer from Living Social in October and called the company to schedule an appointment. The only availability was for 2 weeks out in November which I scheduled. The technician called on the day of the appointment and said he would be a little late---later in the conversation he mentioned that he would be two hours late---which didn't work for my schedule and said he would call for other availability and then came the next day. He was very friendly when he showed up, but pulled out a contract and said it would be a couple hundred dollars more to do a full cleaning of the air duct system. On the Living Social website it describes the service as a whole-house air duct and dryer vent cleaning, which includes one return line, one main line, and a furnace and A/C checkup. He also mentioned that he accepts tips for his services.

I declined the additional services and went with what the voucher purchased. He then used a shop-vac to vacuum out the floor vents and did nothing for the ceiling vents and did one of the supply vents.

When he finished (20 mins later) he went through the contract again and said "So no tip, huh????" and went on to explain how he worked me in even though the next available appt was in December.

I thought the service was a poor value and the customer service was awkward at best!!
