I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.‘Lyn at Better’s Deck Plus came over and corrected the issue at no cost. He did show me that the screws seem to have failed. It appears that the Trex screws may be at fault. I will point this out to Trex which may educate them on these issues going forward. Please consider this case resolved at a satisfactory level’.Thank you for your time on this.[redacted]
[redacted] & I have contacted each other about this many times and he says he didn't get the some of the messages, etc. I went by [redacted]'s home and fixed all the broken screw areas around the deck at N/C. (I see no mention of that on his complaint) The he called and said that he a few more...
spots and I told him I could not fix that with out taking all the band boards down and cleaning the debris out and putting then back. I told him the cost would be around $100.00 plus the screws. I also told him I would have to work it in for the next time I worked in the Roanoke/Salem area. I thought we were good, but now he opened a Trex warranty case which does nothing to help him and now this complaint that does nothing to help him. I just emailed him today and told him that I would be by sometime in the near future to fix the band boards but I am not sure that is a wise thing for me to do at this time since it seems he wants to keep opening case files against me. I have been in business for myself for 12 years and NEVER had this problem. I have done hundreds of high quality decks and never had a problem. Since the build date and the install, the spacing has changed on the face board from 16" to 12" as he states. I really don't know how to handle this matter as I thought that it was on the way to being solved. Thanks, Lyn
