We made arrangements to meet with the homeowner this past week and upon arrival found the equipment that was installed correctly was functioning intermittently The system is designed to run the outdoor heat pump at certain times and in certain ambient conditions and when those conditions are not met, the gas furnace is supposed to take over the heating for the home Due to the warm fall, the furnace had not been running as much as it should have causing the heat pump to primarily heat the home Upon inspection of all the wiring, it was determined that another contractor had drilled into the thermostat wire in two separate places causing the wire to twist and short out causing intermittent problems with the furnace turning on in colder weather We repaired the wiring at no charge to the customer and verified that all the equipment installed by our company was working according to the mechanical designer and manufacturer specifications The communication with the customer has been very positive and they are going to monitor the situation going forward and contact us with any more concerns they may have about the operation of the equipment

not met, the gas furnace is supposed to take over the heating for the home. Review: We built a new house in early 2015 and used Better Home Heating and Air Conditioning as our HVAC Contractor. We had difficulties in communication and scheduling commitments during the building phase with this contractor but that was to be expected. Once we moved in we noticed the air conditioning was not working very well and called to have things checked. Upon arrival the technician told us the system was completely wrong for our house and that they would look into it. Several months later a minor fix was made that did nothing to improve the performance of the system. It has now been 4+ months later and nobody will return any communication with us about this problem. On top of all of this the furnace that was installed is now not performing to what it should.Desired Settlement: We would first like someone to return and email or a call from Better Home Heating and Air Conditioning. Second we would either like a refund so we can deal with a different contractor who is interested in helping us or we would like the system to work the way we were promised.
